Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Also, please join us in the Kongregate Discord for all the latest Kongregate news!

Description
Deus Shift is a competitive, two player strategy game. With nine unique units, and tons of possible strategies, outsmart your opponent and defeat their heart while defending your own.
I've started a Deus Shift Tournament! Sign up/read details here: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1329558
*NOTE:* Deus Shift is not a casual game. You will enjoy the game a lot more if you take the time to learn it (by playing the tutorial) before jumping in.
Also, the Review button allows you to view and share records of games you have played. Make sure to save these records if you want to keep them, as unsaved records are deleted two days after the record was made.
How to Play
Detailed instructions are in the tutorial. I strongly recommend playing the tutorial before playing games versus the AI or friends. Since Deus Shift is a heavy strategy game, it is not easy to learn without playing the tutorial first.
Summon units, and use their abilities and movement types to defend your heart and destroy the enemy's heart. Damage the enemy's heart by attacking it directly with units, or by destroying enemy units.
Every action requires either a death, physical or astral shift which may be used once per turn - use them wisely. Additionally, there is the special deus shift that becomes available when the bar below the shifts fills - it can be used to go beyond the normal structure of the game and perform any action, regardless of shift type.
*TIP:* The Raven unit is strong against the Sentinel unit, the Ghoul unit is strong against the Defender unit, and the Berserker unit is strong against the Vanquisher unit.
*TIP:* In Online play, the timer will end your turn when it counts down to zero, however, in all other modes, while the timer will still count down, it will not end your turn. Additionally, the amount of the timer can be set in Online play when creating a game using the Time Limit field. It can be set to 1-99 seconds, and it can also be set to 0 for infinite time.

I noticed that there are not that many people playing so I have some suggestions. 1. 4 player games because looking at the game board there are 4 circles so this looks possible. 2. A ranking/leveling system with unlock-able avatars (using the game pieces) 3. Adding badges might draw new players to the game. eg. beat intermediate AI could be one. just a few suggestions to draw more players but its still a good game to me even if there aren't that many players ;)

This is just like the description. A very strategic game and really makes you think; learning the units abilities like in a chess game. And yes I did enjoy it after taking the time to learn it as in my opinion was worth while. good game keep it up ;)
