Deskripsyon

Recently I started making a Flash game designed to have players able to interact with each other in trade, competition and collaboration.

Having some knowledge of PHP and mySQL, I decided that using these would be the easiest option. Through a lot of internet research and experimentation, I got a remarkably simple solution working.

This tutorial should teach you to be able to store and load variables in a mySQL database from Flash, through PHP. Unfortunately, for the later stages you will have to have your own mySQL and PHP server to run the scripts on. A basic knowledge of mySQL and PHP is required.

Examples can be downloaded from http://gnomelogic.com/flash&mysql/examples.zip, or at the end of the tutorial.

Paano Maglaro

Use the red arrow buttons to progress from page to page, and follow the on screen direction. A green (?) button will demonstrate how to do something, and a blue (i) button will give you a tip.

Hooray! To avoid continuing troubles with domain name, I registered a new free one (http://flash-mysql.servegame.com) to run my PHP. Finally my tutorial should work properly.

Useful, but the part where it says "This page contains dynamic content that is still loading" doesn't disappear; the thing that comes in the second section "Post".

Very nice tutorial, but I think I'm just going to rely on other external APIs to save me time, or just find an open source project and steal its code lol.
