Might & Manuscript is a systemic dungeon crawler where every choice is a mathematical gamble. You must navigate a dangerous gauntlet of enemies and bosses using a unique three-attribute combat system. There are no random skill trees—only the weapons you find, the feats you earn, and the logic you apply.
Core Features:
- Systemic RPS Combat: Master the “Might-Finesse-Smarts” triangle. Every enemy defense is a puzzle; use Smarts to pierce Might, Might to crush Finesse, and Finesse to outmaneuver Smarts. - Deep Character Customization: With 6 Races and 6 Classes, start your run with one of 36 unique attribute combinations. - Evolving Arsenal: Discover Pristine and Legendary weapons with over 15 unique properties. From Vampiric blades that heal on hit to Prismatic staves that automatically target an enemy’s weakest stat, no two runs feel the same. - Game-Breaking Feats: Select from a pool of more than 40 powerful feats to define your playstyle. Will you take Second Wind to survive a fatal blow, or Flow State to deal devastating counter-damage? - Emergent Narrative: Encounter more than 30 unique events where your attributes and character determine your fate. Solve puzzles, identify mysterious potions, or risk it all for a legendary weapon.Recommended age is at least 13 as a lot of the math and mechanics can be difficult to grasp

V0.4.6 adds a small in-game menu to adjust volume and forfeit runs if you’re hopelessly underpowered. It also adds a few more landmarks to the later acts!

After trying and failing with several intentional builds and balanced characters, I just blew threw last boss with a glass-cannon ranger with taunt and a finishing might of 3. I'm absolutely looking forward to more additions.

Won with a Dwarf Tinkerer. Thanks to a combo of the Gamble ability, and the Crippling and Unsatiable Feats (and Observer Blood), I ended up with 40 Might, and 41 Finesse and Smarts. Best run so far!

The elf's die is not weighted, it's purely chance (I usually take lower if it's above 10, and higher if it'S 10 or below). I manged to win 2 out of 3 times. The gnome cousin has a secret option if you're a gnome, the same as for the human trader or the sleeping dwarf if you have the same race as them :)

What is the deal with the elf's dice, it was clearly weighted, but now seems like chance, I've gotten to the second dice roll once. Is stealing the weapon really the only choice here. Also the Gnome cousin encounter is early game and only provides basic weapons, it's an empty encounter option since you already have basic weapons to start with, no matter how many options it gives.
The elf's dice game isn't rigged against the player, but it does limit the number rollable by the elf to make it more favorable for the player!

Hm, currently it does not freeze before any fight (it froze before the button to start the combat encounter was clicked), but currently it freezes on starting a new game after defeating the boneclaw.
This time, I managed to win by using a dwarf tinkerer, and using gamble with a health potion over and over while I had the feats "Side Effects" and "Overcharged" while also attacking with my weakest weapon (to prolong the combat and farm stat points).
Lol, nice build. I think the tinker is going to get a rework soon! As for the freezes, I've had a couple others mention the new game button is freezing, I'll look into it.
