Because your mech suit is the full package! Air conditioning, leather seating, jumping abilities, etc.

It's a nice game but it gets very repetitive, all you need to do is run around left right while shooting at the spawn point, after a while waves stop getting harder. It got loads of room for improvement though. For example, more playing modes; some new enemies or enemy types (ranged, supporter, etc); bosses each 5waves; more stuff to buy (like a metal collector); something to "jump" to; crouch to improve aim or damage; some sort of charged attack; etc.

Get the turrets first, having 3 basic weapons is better than one good one.
