Raise three windmills in a farming parish. Every farm carts its grain to the nearest mill, walking round the river, the drystone walls and the ponds, and a bigger farm sends more carts. A mill once raised stays.

The number at the top of the screen, HAUL, is the parish’s total carting if a mill stood where you are, with the mills already raised. PAR is the least any three mills could give, found by trying every possible set of three places. Where HAUL is lowest for your first mill is rarely where your first mill should go.

Get within 1% of par for GOLD. Pass a parish and X shows where the best three mills stand; miss it and you get a clue instead. Ten parishes in this edition.
