I'll suggest some tweak with miners amount - having over 1000 of them in total really kills it- have some limit on display or i.e. if you buy 10th change it for one bigger or different colour than on 100th do same again and so on...

I know that a number of people have made suggestions regarding too many actors, so try this: Up to nine ships act as they do now. Upon buying the tenth, all ten move into formation and act as one. (Behind the scenes, the ten-ship models are replaced by one model made up of ten ships.) The same thing happens at 100 and 1,000. The advantage is that--if you have 10,000 of a particular type--you no longer have to update 10,000 actors every frame, just 10, while the particle effects are scaled and reduced in number to match.

Ah, with hundreds of ships the button's purpose becomes more apparent - it toggles the particles from low to high.
