這類型來自七十年代桌上角色扮演《龍與地下城》。早期經典如《Rogue》、《Wizardry》帶領地牢冒險登上鍵盤。其後《Diablo》、《Skyrim》、《Hades》等作品證明玩法不斷進化，百玩不厭。
