Use your mouse or touch controls to rotate the 3D cube, uncover tiles, and place flags. Numbers indicate how many mines are adjacent to a tile — including above, below, and across faces. Think in all directions, plan ahead, and clear the entire cube without triggering a mine.
A full in‑game tutorial is included to guide you through all mechanics.
And if you need help in finding the next locical step, just press “Autopilot” – the integrated logic solver will explain you the next logical move in the game!

IMPORTANT: There is currently an issue with the game’s built-in fullscreen button. Please use Kongregate’s own fullscreen mode instead (you’ll find it to the right of the star rating, below the game window). Hope it will be fixed soon…
The Medium and Hard badges have been updated – you now only need to win one game at the respective level to earn each badge!
Version 2.7 is live – featuring a new Step-by-Step autopilot mode, smarter flag logic, and a handy new rotation control.
⏭ Step-by-Step: The autopilot can now pause after every move. Use “▶ Continue” (or Space) to follow along move by move – great for understanding the logic behind each deduction.
Flag validation: While the autopilot is running, only logically confirmed flags can be placed. Wrong flags are detected automatically and removed step by step – with an explanation shown.
Three neighbor colors (Ctrl+hover): Cyan = open · Red = closed · Orange = flagged. All colors customizable in the Design Editor.
Set rotation pivot by clicking: Ctrl or Shift + click on any cube sets it as the new rotation center – without zooming. The pivot glows. C resets it.

why winning 5 games for a badge, winning 1 time is already a challenge. Enforcing repetitiveness is a really bad practice and adds no content to the challenge. Controls are completely unplayable and painful, totally sick of seeing those AI prompts everywhere, 1 star have a good evening.
@dederteee: probably you won’t read this reply but maybe it’s helpful for other players who have the same opinion: I asked Kongregate to remove the repeats from the badges—thanks for pointing that out. I'm completely new here on Kongregate and thought it was supposed to be especially challenging to earn the badges; I didn't realize how hard my game is for new players :-) Regarding the controls: it’s not about AI—AI is just a tool. I’ve invested a lot of time in getting the controls just right—you won’t find controls this sophisticated in any other 3D Minesweeper game! They’re designed to be as intuitive as possible, just like the standard controls in browsers, CAD programs, and so on. That said, I’m implementing suggestions for improvement, as you can see here in the comments. Do you have any?

Wow, you have to pay to save your game? That's a new low for Kongregate...
Hi @KeeperBvK: fair point on the save feature – let me explain the thinking behind it. Saving a game sounds simple, but making it work seamlessly across Kongregate, my own website, and future platforms (each with different login systems) requires a shared cloud backend. Building and maintaining that infrastructure has real costs. Rather than leaving it out entirely, I built it as part of a broader Pro feature set – which also includes the Icosahedron geometry, a custom geometry editor, and changing the design of the game elements.

@sagadragon: No worries — the badges are live now, and they range from gentle to brutal ;-) At least the first one (‘La Dolce Vita’) should be perfectly doable… and honestly, the second one too. If Kongregate starts with "Badge of the day", nobody’s cooked — unless you play Level 6 on an empty stomach. :-)

For the computer version, I recommend allowing there to be an option that drags the center. E.g. Hold Shift + Drag should allow us to avoid rotation, but move the center of the cube. Similarly, holding different buttons and dragging should allow rotating across a specific axis, but none other. E.g. Holding 'Z' and dragging rotates around the green axis, holding the blue & red axis steady. Holding 'X' could then be used to rotate across the blue axis, holding the red & green steady.
@ aznph8playa, thanks for the detailed feedback – and good news: some of what you're describing is already there, just maybe not obvious enough! Ctrl+Scroll over a hovered cube already sets that cube as the new rotation center. If the zoom bothers you when re-centering, just hold Ctrl and scroll back a bit – the new center stays. The C key (or the center button on mobile) resets it back to the geometry's center. Your idea about axis-locked rotation with X/Y/Z keys is something I'm actually considering implementing - you're right that it would give much more precise control, especially on larger grids. I'll keep it on the roadmap! What made you look for these controls – was it a specific situation where the current rotation felt too uncontrolled?"

The computer controls are not intuitive enough, yet... Will try to provide more detailed feedback when I get a chance, but right now, the left to right doesn't rotate as I expect. There's quite a lot of challenges with trying to get it to move as suggested. will try this on my phone when I get a chance.
P.S.: I decided for free 360 degree rotation in the past especially for the Icosahedron Geometry - the earlier limit of 180 degrees had a better rotation control, but was hindering some important perspectives for checking Frusta elements hidden in one perspective behind other elements...
