遊玩說明
Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or with the left stick on a gamepad. Your crossbow aims and fires by itself.
Pick up the crystals that enemies drop. Every level up shows three cards. Pick one.
A run ends after 15 minutes or when your health hits zero.
Esc pauses the game.

Version 0.3: The Garden Gnome Is Here
Yard Keeper 0.3 is out now! You voted for the garden gnome in the poll, so he is your new hero. Honestly, he looks a lot better than the cube did.
The shed: after every round you wake up in the shed. Berta the blacksmith turns the materials you collected into crossbow improvements, all the way up to +9.
The birdhouse: stand in its circle until it reads 100 % and you get a character upgrade, like health regeneration or dodge.
The pinecone duck: a new enemy with cool sunglasses that pelts you with pinecones from afar.
On top of that there are damage numbers, golden critical hits and a new victory screen if you survive 15 minutes.
If you enjoy Yard Keeper, please leave a rating with the stars above the game. It helps a lot and lets more players find the garden. Thanks for playing and for all your comments, they really shape what I build next! :)

How is it possible to make a browser game so laggy that it actually crashes your system? That was possible 20 years ago, but now do you do it now? I'm actually a little impressed. Hmmm . . . . it's almost like there's some background stuff . . . nah. never mind. 1/5
Hey sorry to hear it's not running well on your machine. I will keep improving performance. I'd be very surprised aswell if the game would be crashing your system, I have not had that issue yet. Apologies for the inconvenience either way, could you elaborate on what kind of PC you were trying this? Do you know the rough hardware specs of your machine? Was a lot of other stuff running on your pc when you played?

I think this game misses permanent upgrades like after each failed attempt there should be a store or something. It's still very addictive at this stage though :)
I have a feeling, you are going to love the updates I have planned, thank you for playing and for the kind words! :D

This game is not near fun enough, to play that many rounds, to get that many screws, to fail an upgrade and go back a level....
I have heard that quite a few times, I am thinking about adding a randomly droppable consumable that will prevent a failure from reducing the weapon level, so you can use it for the more expansive updates to avoid frustration. Would that improve things for you?

Alright some quick notes after playing quite a few rounds. When you initially start the game it isn't clear that you need to use WASD to move around, so you should give some small instruction. I was just clicking things for awhile until I thought to use WASD. There also should be a gap you can walk through between Berta and the Grindstone as it's currently difficult to get to her unnecessarily. I have no idea what it takes to have a chance to upgrade your crossbow to +5, but I haven't gotten it in ~20ish runs. Ducks are way OP and having multiple on the screen at the same time is basically an instant lose. The time from circle to damage for Ducks is too fast and the accuracy of them is wild. They seem to know where I'm going before I do, even if I'm not going in a straight line. If there are any other uses for the drops you get during rounds I haven't found them, and without whatever piece is needed for +5 or some other blueprint they do nothing.
Notes have been taken, thank you for providing such detailed feedback. There shuold have been an overview of the controls when you start the game the first time, but maybe it should come up a couple of times before not showing up again. I thought it may be annoying to spam people with that info. More walking space around berta makes sense, I am already working on a system to make upgrades less frustrating and yes ducks are a bit too strong.
