I think colour is definitely easier than mono. Just needs a bit of practice going through the lower levels. Becomes second nature after a while and you can do them very quickly once you've got the hang of it.
@jeremy - if you're on Firefox, it's a browser issue caused by an update. There's a guide to fixing it here: https://1b49a41e-2d72-4dae-8488-b4fe6976729b.atarimworker.io/forums/1/topics/1783434
@garp_hu if you're on Firefox, it was a browser 'update' that caused it (FF64). There's a guide to fixing it here: https://1b49a41e-2d72-4dae-8488-b4fe6976729b.atarimworker.io/forums/1/topics/1783434
@WraithofCERBERUS - the game saves automatically, but some setting on your browser is deleting it. Lots of them clear saved data as their default setting, so you'd need to find that option and change it (think it'll be under privacy/security in most browsers).
@Cybagorilla: This is more a level pack than a traditional, full game - the original Creeper World game published on Kong (Creeper World Training Sim) featured a full tutorial, as do the download versions.
The game saves fine. The problem, if it apparently isn't saving, lies with what your own computer is doing to your save file. Often, you'll have something set to delete all such objects when you close a browser, or shut down, or something...
There's a Unity3D script running on the page, but it doesn't seem to be playing any active part in anything. I just blocked it and reloaded the page, and everything is exactly the same.
@Helper530: If you buy the full game, you can play user-created levels and make them yourself. This is the page with all the user-created maps on Knuckle Cracker's website: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fknucklecracker.com%2Fcreeperworld%2Fviewmaps.php
@Criggie: the 'top rated player' hacked the score - nothing will happen when proper players reach 1999. The total number of possible missions since the game started is my score, +3 (I lost that many to a save wipe), +1 that was knocked off the list due to a date change before I saw it. When he/she has completed every level available, Kime1R will be the legitimate top player in missions completed (with, I think, one more than I can get).
Although... on the full version of the game there was a level editor, and I used to visit the game forum (before 2011, I think) where other players put up their own, user-created maps. Made Evermore look like training levels, and some of those might well have been 'unwinnable' (or at least, I couldn't do them).
@Bozotic: As iMiPi said, there's never been an unwinnable map. I'm not one of the 'super players' who can do maps in mere seconds, but even I've been able to do every single one since the day the game was released. Which is kind of sad... more than five years :D
@Revd: I just move the city to higher ground, not too tricky once that's done. Unless you're giving yourself the extra challenge of not moving it - if so, no idea!
For 9/23, fly Odin City round to collect the lower, then middle upgrades, and park on the big raised area at the upper right. Easy from there - unless you're playing without moving the city (as I know some do - if so, ignore this useless comment!)
iMiPi covered most of it but just one thing to add (unless I missed it, and this post is pointless) - spore attacks also always come from the side of the screen that the emitters are on. So if they're on the left, the spores always come from the left.
