This is a good game, but I have one big design beef. The fact that Victory point values among monsters vary so hugely--and that said monsters appear randomly--makes the outcome of matches (particularly matches with more than two players) far more luck-based than it ought to be. There really isn't much you can do when all the high-value monsters get picked before you draw a hand that can deal with them. Dominion has the superior design in this area, I'm afraid.
I like this a lot--this game requires a good mix of puzzle-solving and reflexes, it moves at a brisk pace, and the challenge level is just right.
For those of you making comments about how you wouldn't pay money for the full version, keep in mind that Terry Cavanagh has spent the past two years of his life designing this game full-time with his own money. If you like the game and you want to play more, you should be happy for the opportunity to support the author. :)
"this game can't have badges because it isn't hooked up to Kong API"
Not true. I've been waiting for them to give this game badges for a few days short of a year now. :)
People, you should really be voting based on how good the game is for its genre. Personally I can't think of a better side-scrolling shooter in Flash. 5/5.
Not bad! I love the music, and the powerups are very creative. While the controls are a bit clunky, I understand why the author probably chose them: to make this playable on the Wii.
