One flaw: When you try to sign a free agent, it will tell you you have to cut roster if you're at your salary cap BEFORE it tells you you don't have enough to sign em. I mistakenly thought I had enough, had an injured QB; was going to sign a new one, and cut my old one for the replacement. Except because I didn't have enough... yeah.
Not a bad little game at all. I'd appreciate a bit more explanation on what everything does, especially on the statistics screen. That said, it also seems to be that it's cheaper to buy things in multiples than it is to buy them individually. I'll have to double check to be sure, but it seems that it's a one time cost of say 300k to go up five levels from 25 to 30, versus doing it individually might be 300k to go from level 29 to 30.
The quest system leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes it'll come up with a quest that I'm going to have to spend a week + to build up to to be able to complete it in any meaningful manner, and then the next dozen or so could be all quite simple quests that I complete in a snap.
Please, for those of us without a mouse wheel, add a button toggle perhaps? The zoom is difficult to use. It's either a wide area map, or an up close and too personal view.
Please, for my sanity. If you're going to include a guy who gives you a map of the floor, don't put him at the END of the sequential order I would visit the rooms in! It's frustrating!
I too have experienced the restart bug. I was using Left Arm: Darts, Core: Boomerang, Right Arm: Magic.
I believe I had just picked up an upgrade, and moved my mouse off screen in a frenzy, and my game restarted on me. I could still hear the level progressing in the background, and I do believe I had my total earned bloops count from the time when it restarted to when I began the level again.
I loved this game, I really did. It was unique, it was awesome (If a little grindy), and I so so so wanted to give it a 4/5. But I had to go with a 1/5. I understand dev's wanting to make some profit off of a game, and kreds help with that. But to lock your game into having basically only first tier weapons available, and after that pay to play? That instantly earns a 1/5 in my book. The fact of the matter is, that if I eventually hit a wall in your game, and I must pay you to overcome to enjoy the rest of your game, it's just not going to keep me playing. I'm going to quit and go find something else to fill my time with.
I was honestly expecting Iron Ore to be something I'd find while on a mission. It's a damn shame that doing such a thing will probably turn a lot of people off from repeated playings and extended playings.
Your save progress has not been deleted. The file is simply looking in another folder for the save. All you have to do is copy your old save into the new folder it looks for. Upvote this for everyone to see (There should be a guide on Kong on how to find your save files)
One of the biggest things I'm seeing is the fact that a job will take away more from one skill than you can regain in one sitting.
For instance, I have 500 relaxation. I work Stock Tacking, which takes away from Relaxation. I end up with 486 relaxation after a single week of working in it. And from what I'm seeing, Resting at Home is only way to improve Relaxation skill. It seems utterly unbalanced to me. Perhaps I'm missing the point of it, but I'd like it so that I don't have to spend 3+ weeks to regain my prior standing because I needed money.
I'm a Mage. What do I do more than 3/4 of the time? MELEE. FOR HALF THE DAMAGE! It pisses me off when I've got to drive up my stress and use up my potions, simply because the game mechanic won't recognize I've got greater skill in Magic and won't use the damn thing.
