Initial reaction to the update: kicking extra points is much, much harder. I made them all before without difficulty, and missed 3 of 5 and doinked in the other 2 in my first game post-update.
Hey, here's another 'interesting puzzle game that turns into a "getting the timing right" game at the end that I automatically reduce from 5-stars to 3.'
Took me way too many tries to beat Hardcore and get the last badge, and getting there included quitting my way out of a few fights I took on on a speculative basis, but I got there and that's all that counts. Cleric, earth mage (secondary fire), and assassin (stealthy one-handed dagger) ended up the final team, after cycling through various combinations. Varag valkyries proved helpful in some fights late.
WASD-forcing, immediate pop-up of bonuses resulted in many accidental selections, randomly appearing enemies because of the small screen... this is like being nostalgic for the days before indoor plumbing.

It's insane how stupidly effective "never move" is as a strategy. First try: moving around, collecting power-ups and pixels: 165k. Second try, rarely moving: 493k (ugh). Third try, almost never moving, concentrating on threats: 1.07M.
WASD as the only control option when arrow keys aren't used for anything else, no instructions, and I die within 5 seconds whenever I try something. It's like 2007 all over again!
My autofire still isn't working. I've tried restarting the game from the beginning, still doesn't work. I don't know how to get it to work. This is very annoying. Using Google Chrome.
How do you autofire? I got it form the Rat Witch, but I can't figure out how to use it. It doesn't work automatically, I believe I've tried every normal key on my keyboard, and it's not an inventory item.
