This looks really interesting but between the weird zoom/resolution issues (i've set my browser zoom to 67% and can now ALMOST see the whole screen lol) and having to join and lurk on a discord just to find a game, it's gonna be a pass from me for now. If things are different one day I'll be really excited to come back though, I'm a loooong time Mafia / Werewolf / Mush / Town of Salem / Amogus enthusiast.
Hey Kongregate Squad! I can see y'all have got some really talented people on the team - there's certainly a lot of love behind the 3d models and animations in all your recent games. The music is also pretty good! However, I do have a request for you. I'm gonna need your future projects to be more ambitions when it comes to the other departments! The current "lore" is really underwhelming and full of spelling errors, and the gameplay cheap and repetitive. I DARE YOU to make and "adventure rpg" game that isn't like Chef Last Stand but instead one more inspired by Pokemon, or the Epic Battle Fantasy series. Kongpanions would really suit this sort of thing and you know it! Your animators get to design cool attack animations, your composers get to create epic battle music, and we as players finally get to experience a world worth exploring, engage with the lore with NO SPELLING ERRORS, and maybe even slowly start to somehow bond with certain kongpanions through the story.
Do yourself a favour and start the game with the blow torch as your selected weapon (costs 10 pennies). Breaking bins is a bit harder but not having to worry about which way you're facing is worth it.
BOTD should have been the Brains Over Brawn badge so that new players could just play the game and follow the questlines and solve puzzles as they go. The Sherlock badge is basically "click Explore 10000 times until your energy runs out, then come back later and do it again"
Got the impossible badge a week ago, still less than 2/3 into the Secrets hard badge. Feels like I'm missing something. Starting a new raid seems not worth it, offering less than 200 stars in return, when I can get more in the arena, with additional rewards, with less effort. I really thought there'd be some kind of prestige mechanic. Is there?
@mylovelyphaneron not sure if you're still having the problem but two things off the top of my head - 1. Don't click away from the game window as you wait for it to load. Don't change window, tab, minimise, etc. If you have, click back onto the game window, not on ShugaSu because that's a hyperlink but anywhere on the dark background around it. 2. Dedicate more of your bandwidth to it, the game needs A LOT. I personally found that if I want this game to load I need to make sure my Steam isn't downloading any game updates. My internet speed is pretty bad though.
Wow this game stutters on my high end gaming pc. That said, I'm gonna be quirky and say some nice stuff. Last week I half-heartedly attempted but ultimately skipped this game's BOTD. Today, seeing the whole week's BOTD line-up I sighed but decided to give STUG another try and surprisingly after a while I noticed I was having fun??? Been playing for over 90 minutes now (half of it in a 2v2 battle which was really a 1v1 battle, we humans each had a useless bot teammate) and only have 18 achievements left. Noice. Focusing on achievements was painful but just playing the game seems to have got me all the achievements I needed and more regardless. The game is NOT pay2play nor pay2win which is nice, I'm also quite used to one of the starter tanks now so I'm pretty unbothered about the whole research aspect. Menus are wonky, tutorial is lacking, and Kong made a BIG mistake here BOTD-wise but I think the devs got the short end of the stick here and don't deserve all the abuse they're getting.
I really appreciate the reply, means a lot right now. Also if you are getting stutters make sure you have hardware acceleration enabled for your browser, without it the game can't use your GPU unfortunately.
This game used to have an incredibly tedious badge which a lot of us begrudgingly embarked on achieving as it was a BotD. This badge is no longer here. I got my companion back then so I should be happy and yet seeing the badge disappear somehow makes me feel like my efforts on it were wasted. Anyone else?
Boy am I glad that I was bored one day and played through every single Medieval Cop game so I now don't have to do it on several days this week. Love the games but they're really not BOTD material, they won't be properly appreciated if played as such.
Anyone here for the medium badge, take it slow. Play through however many levels you can comfortably, then just auto-battle old levels on highest speed. Your dailies will give you A LOT of fame so if you're out of energy just come back the next day and do the dailies. I jumped to Fame 4 on day 1 by actually attempting to play the game, then to Fame 6 on day 2 by auto-battling until my dailies were done. You can do it. :)
Wow, the memory leak is still pretty bad in Supernova. Flash died and yet this game's performance issues live on. :D Coming back to it after 6 years to finally complete the final badge fills me with pride but also so, so, so much pain.
The controls aren't frustrating(and allow one hand, keyboard-only and mouse-only users which is wonderful for accessibility!), there's no timer, the levels are short and sweet so dying right at the end and being sent back to the beginning isn't rage-inducing, multiple ways of solving problems (ie me panicking and hitting jump instead of switch when running head first into an enemy was a thing that happened a few times with no repercussions), no punishment for waiting for better timing by running into the wall or wall-hopping and sliding, simple but fun mechanics, short tutorial... I'm really not a fan of platformers in general but I'm a bit confused about this one's poor rating? If you make a sequel you should give the slime a name :)
I just wanted to say thank you for the undo button. It feels wonderful not to be punished for making a single careless mistake somewhere in a level without realising until you're almost at the end of it. I'm a pretty impatient person but I've completed the game and not once did I feel frustrated or tempted by the hints system.
oh, this is how it is intended: the planks are converted into gunpowder automatically, and having a cannon multiplies your crane power by 1000
