Returning to this game six years later to finally get this medium badge felt REALLY GOOD. The French seem a bit underrated as a civilization, my most powerful units retreating at the brink of death to fight another time definitely saved my butt quite a few times. Always make a deal with the poachers as soon as possible and save your scroll of transformation/shrinking for the final battle (unless you have multiple scrolls).
There is a way to track your easy and medium Kong badges progress in this game by looking at the titles you earned and using an, ahem, outside source to check how you earned them. I hope this is okay to post here. Basically try googling "flashgaming fandom Hack Slash Crawl" and you'll find a table showing all titles, what their requirements are, and what their effects are on selection. It appears to be accurate as far as I can see (I died a few times without killing anyone, surrounded by enemies, with an empty inventory etc and the correct titles were unlocked for me) so that's one way of proving things. Eg, if you have the Bonemaster or Devastating title that's the criteria for the easy Kong badge sorted. There doesn't seem to be a title for Floor 15 or above (unless I missed it) so if anyone knows how to prove that one you better speak up :P
Hey Dev! Love your game, it's a shame you're having to deal with so much vitriol. To anyone else struggling to complete the case, SPOILER ALERT, Once you've completed the game and didn't get the right ending, you can select "load game" in the menu and it'll take you to just before the final cutscene. Then you can make sure that you get everything. In my case, the two things I hadn't checked were the third statue and the TV. Hope this helps.
Please could my badges for this game be awarded? I've submitted my reports a few times now with no response. The BotDs feature two unplayable games this week (one having the Gameshell Supernova issue, one a semi-platformer that requires precision while running on a million frames per second on my machine with no obvious way to slow it down) so having this game's badges awarded is my only chance at a shiny kongpanion this week. Please if it's because you're short staffed I will volunteer for you in exchange for this lmao
Is there any way to make the game run slower? I'm finding it a bit impossible to aim my jumps and landings. Loving the concept but would do anything to be able to play it at 0.5 the speed (if not slower)
Playing with Supernova didn't award me the badge and I accidentally clicked my mouse during the screen that showed my score which took me back to the main menu with no way to go back or otherwise see any evidence of having completed the game. Please be careful not to do the same.
It's an okay game but there's not a lot of strategy to it at all. Click on coins, summon whatever unit, if you have food feed it to the unit, click on the enemy if you have skulls/magic. It's just not interesting enough for badge of the day, especially considering how long it takes to complete 3 chapters of the campaign.
If you didn't get the sunglasses badge, just submit the missing badge report and they'll sort it for you. Seems a lot of people are having the same issue.
Money exploit: Buy an upgrade, press "back", refresh the page. You'll keep the upgrade and the money you just spent will come back too. Collecting money is super annoying in this game sadly so I hope this will be of use!
I almost feel offended at how much time I spent on easy mode, before giving up and whizzing through hard mode effortlessly. It's a fun game but there's no real challenge on hard once you've maxed your mana, poison and tornado, and realised that the ultimate strategy to beat everything is just spawning 8 Mikes and replacing them with more Mikes if they die.
Level 7 still suffers from not letting us click above the top left red square due to game area being too small. :( I am 5% off the hard badge so it would be so helpful if this got fixed.
Several hours later, the game has glitched out on me and let me complete the final level without being anywhere near killing the boss (it's a shame I can't attach the screenshot here!) so I can now move on from this game and never come back! - in case you'd like to try my method, which I can't guarantee will work but I refuse to test it, all I've done is had the game open for a looooong time on a laptop so getting my RAM reserves super-low and playing the final level over an over on lowest quality settings. Boss was still very much alive, with about 3/4 health remaining, but the game stopped suddenly which freaked me out because I wasn't paying attention anymore and I thought I had died without realising. But instead of a defeat screen I got a victory screen, and my party's health meters on the bottom left were all full. So maybe just maybe I've really got something here. Feel free to downvote this comment if it doesn't work for you, don't wanna give anyone false hope.
No clue how many times I have now attempted the final campaign level, it just doesn't seem to make any difference. Max upgrades, max runes. Run out of money for max runes, go grind for some more, come back, rinse and repeat. My teammates will never survive until the end of this fight and I'll just keep dying alone, over and over, surrounded by infinite hordes of enemies and a boss who doesn't seem to have a cooldown on shields, teleports, mines or missiles. Well, sometimes his shield does go down, for about 2 seconds. Seems like he has no attack pattern though, it's very much luck-based on every try. So close to giving up. There are a lot of impossible badges out there less frustrating than this.
