To expand on my comment about the instructions being too vague: let's all be honest. This concept is ridicously rad. Seriously, kudos on that one. The main problem with the game is that you don't know what you're capable of and you have no chance of learning, but the concept itself makes it unable to go below 3 stars. I'm not sure if I should go for the 4 star, but hey, why not. Let's say that star is for the badass voice acting.
So is there any point to blocking? At all? Is it less of a block and more of a parry? I understand how the game works (following the sounds), but I still think the instructions are vague. Even though I'm blind, I probably know if I'm holding my shield up or trying to bash his weapon away with the shield. I don't though.
Mute from start, great as always. A nice little story to get us into it. Pause while setting units to train, neat. I would like to be able to change the game speed without entering options, as to have a button with the speeds on the main screen to change instantly. I like the new graphics a lot! The little descriptions of the stats make it easy to know what to do with your units.
Just noted a bit very early in the game, I really like it so far!
Under the assumption this was designed horrible by purpose, and god I hope that because I feel like the guy from QWOP, this is outstanding. I can stick him the finger, just like in real life!
Wow. I want to be the ultimate green politician, literally killing of humanity to let animals live. And you give me a goal. Saving up to legalize homicide.
I love this. I swear, for animals in uh, wherever we are, I will help us help ourselves... in the end
or something
Hey, I commented on the game pretty much saying I didn't like the inventory. Thank you for taking it as constructive criticism (uh, hope I spelled that right :P) unlike the other 10 people who apparently thumbsed it down. I guess I did sound harsh though, partly it's not my favorite genre and partly I just didn't like that, but other people like it, so good work I guess, but you're really doing something for us when you reply to like half the comments! Keep that up as long as you can :P
Thanks! I also like the "negative" comments very much, because - how else could you improve your game? So, even if your comment was thumbed down, it still gets read and noticed - also keep that up and don't worry about sounding too harsh! ;)
So, I started out taking items from each screen and in the end I had about 18 items. I quit. That shouldn't be a way to start a game, I don't even feel like giving it a chance when you fill up the inventory like that.
:D Yeah, it tends to be like that in these "open-world" environments - I wanted players to be free to start with any puzzle they choose. Granted, it's different from what most players might be used to. I'm looking forward to try out a more guided approach in the future.
Well, the idea is not original, but that's not neccesarily bad, just no bonus points. There. The art style is pretty cute, which is good. But I feel the game is unbalanced. By that I mean the levels are supposed to get harder and harder, but it feels like some levels are really easy while others really take some thinking, just changing randomly. the easy ones are primarily the ones with lots of bunnies, you made it so you just have to find a place where they all meet and you can ignore that there is more than one.
It's pretty fun, but it's nothing amazing. I like it though. 4/5 I guess.
@Platformer27 You're probably filling it with the hot metal too fast.
Sorry, I don't know what it's called, but it's after you've chosen the material and heated it up.
I don't know if this is a glitch, so I'm leaving it here in the comments :P
At the boss, if you double jump (with maxed jump), you actually take damage from him.
Anyway, it's a nice game. I were really confused when I started up and ran but died instantly, but then it started getting addicting. You really give the feeling that you get longer and longer each run, rather than having you do 10 runs before you can feel the difference. Definetely a 5/5 from here ;)
Thank you for the feedback, bobthepanda! UPDATE 04/17/2012: Wanted to let you know that we've provided all kong players with an updated starter gift. Hope you enjoy!
theres plenty of chance for learning. being overly harsh and rage quitting is why new game ideas never get a chance.
