I *love* this game, but the food mechanic is brutal and the exact opposite of fun. Every choice in the game is about how to make sure you don't run out of food. I've lost the last 4 consecutive games because of lack of food in Land 3 or Land 4, despite consistently prioritizing food over all else. It's just a BAD mechanic.
It seems like this is a problem for many new players, so in the next version, we're putting a huge surplus of food in nearly every shop (currently shops carry 2-4 food, we're making it be 6-12 in the next version). You'll therefore be able to buy way more food than you need, most of the time, and should be able to find the right balance a lot more easily.
"Awaken at exactly 1 minute" does not seem to work right. I've tried it 20 or 30 times, and definitely been withing 1/10th of a second of 60 second (both under and over)
1. City ranks > 200
2. All your ichor in snowsip
3. Make sure area reduction cities are saved
4. Push exp (policy, garden, specimens) really hard to get more levels, then awaken
5. Do no science, no guest, and no max last. Even at T4 they are harder than any other at T6 (ok, that's a small exaggeration)
MurderMunkey - grow stuff, get bonus. Bonus partially resets when you awaken; the more total (across all awakenings) of a particular plant, the bigger the base bonus. Plants you grew in current awakening give a much bigger bonus.
