While bomb brings up some valid points, his draft strategy is one of two that are considered optimal. While he advocates H-4-5-6, others (myself included) prefer 4-H-5-6. The decision which one you prefer boils down to whether you feel the need to build your core cards around the hero or select the hero based on the core cards. Both seem equally valid.
@maybewow: There's no point resetting in WOO. Whatever you do, you'll get all standard cards at some point. If you want to restart anyway, you can play on the WoO homepage instead of Kong.
Sulhiril: Back in it's prime, WoO had three rooms full of players on Kong alone. Even when 5CG went bankrupt and placed it in maintenance mode, there were over 100 players in Room 1 at all times. The decline is based on the game being in maintenance mode for over two years, and players wandering off due to lack of content updates. That there's still this many people playing is a testament to it's quality. if if the devs ever found a way to get back "in" to the game, the broader audience would return on it's own. As for your other issues:
1.) Metris are generally too strong. The game isn't balanced around draft, since Draft is all about playing silly, overpowered decks and combos.
2.) Type "LOG" while the game is in focus to get a log of events.
3.) The matching is due to lack of players. MP isn't required (or the best way) to level up. Just farm AI and use Draft to satisfy your PvP needs until you're in lategame.
Playing a game in a way it is not intended to be played and then crashing shouldn't be a surprise. That's like saying a racing game crashing after you went backwards for 600 laps is a bug. Just stop wasting processing power with pointless shit.
Guys, keep calm. It's only emergency repairs. That's why the game isn't "dead", but in "maintenance mode". The devs still have families to feed, which is more important than maintaining WoO. We've heard it more than once that they would love to give WoO more support, but have difficulties finding time. No reason to risk an aneurism about it. (Until some major announcement actually happens. Then I'll gladly join you all in spazzing out.)
Endazu are moderately "less evil" than the rest. From the flavor texts, it seems as if they're just isolationalist mages. otoh, that may simply be because they were less developed than the rest.
Iskijos: I doubt the devs will be reading (with the game being in maintenance mode and all), but if you add a log to back up your claims, maybe the (remains of) the community might spam them with enough messages/mails for them to fix it.
ky33: press "g" during the game to generate a logfile. You can read over it to find out what happened. To my knowledge, all cases of "AI cheating" and "resource bugs" have been identified in the animations being too fast or (in the AI case) out of synch.
