Sweet game :) Beast was much easier than I expected... Easier than War or Pestilence. For those who need help, fire monk, death monk and longbow archers are very powerful ranged units, and the best tanks in my opinion are the ultimate knight and shadow vampire (leeches 100% of damage dealt). So i usually play my ranged units first, to get the equilibrium close to base so that the tanks/hero reinforce much quicker.
Suggestion: Have a low % drop chance of keys at the end of boss fights. Currently "Chests" are a completely meaningless construct, I chuck out every single one after battles, as "keys" are the actual chests, and they cost an absurd amount of coins/grind
Game works good in FF, and suddenly crashes in Chrome after a long play time. We're working to fix this tomorrow. Chrome ver. 18 works bad with HTML5 code and Google works on fixing this issue too.
I hear a lot of people are having trouble with enough elevators. The problem is actually the number of elevator SHAFTS. i.e. if someone wants to go from 1st floor to 50th floor, they will take up one spot all the up. So you need multiple elevator shafts. For example having elevators going from floor 1-15, and then stopping, and on an adjacent column on floor 15 is an elevator shaft going from 15-30. That way, those that want to go from floors 15-30 have their own elevator. You will need more elevators on the lower floors than the upper ones, sort of like a pyramid. I have quite a lot of elevators myself going from floors 1-3, which is also where a lot of my receptions are based.
How bloody long is this game... It get's SO boring and repetitive. Am lvl 16, on the second island, and every battle is the exact same. Yet the map shows 6 islands. Seems like a very tedious mission.
How to beat mar ignis: craft items with +3 strength (costs 1080 gold each item so just farm at white wyvern coast). I ended up crafting 4 items with +3 strength, and the 2 other items were just ones i found. Damage was 30. Use rampage, and then zombie wrath mar ignis. it'll do 25x3 damage per cast, and normal crits will do 60 damage. He'll go down after 5 or so seconds. For mercs, i recruited fire demons cos they were the tankiest, but they don't do much.
Heroes are completely useless. Especially the skull knight... And when they die in 1-2 shots in the later stages you're better off hiding them back than waste 30minutes in a battle only for them to die in a random shot.
Use necromancer for one of the strongest starting classes... cure wounds = can infinitely replenish health; summon creature = can just infinitely summon minions to whittle away at mobs; shock = a quick, good damage, ranged attack
