As a warrior with a fast weapon, i hardly use any skills at all - they take too much time, thus dealing less damage than normal attack. The skill I use is earthshaker to interrupt, but when I upgrade this it takes longer to recast for an irrelevant tiny damage bonus. so i just sit there and press "1" til battle is over. exciting.
After playing a few times, i have to say there's a lot of luck involved. Had nomads give me 2x +2 research last game, plus few ice ages, and beat it easily with 5 stars. But I guess that's part of the concept.
Also, the "dash forward" ability is a sure suicide and a worthless skill. The game could be vastly better if it had more stuff to destroy, and maybe a few different bonuses then just medpacks. Add trees, multi-section buildings, more barricades and the like please!!
The 100 missions could be improved. I was at Mission 19 when i finished normal game, mission 26 when i maxed out experience. I got "travel 1000m" before i got "travel 750 m". maybe give out a new Mission while im combat once the old one is done?
good game, though i dont like the goblins shop, it adds an unnecessary part of complexity to the game and it is more lke cheatig. plus i dont have any idea how coins are generated.
It's nice and clean, levels are ok, gfx too - it just misses a bit of a challenge, upgrade system, achievements, speed up which are expected in any TD game today. The randomness is a bit over the line as its really a mission winner/killer sometimes. Also the same enemies in the same order without any special feats gets repetitive. Mouse-over-collecting is a nuisance, as is the building time itself. But the game is still quite good! :)
