I actually don't think this is the Gayest RPG ever. Try Enchanted Arms for Xbox 360 or perhaps Unlimited Saga for PS2. Those were pretty gay. This just lacks presentation. The mechanics of the game are actually fairly decent, more items and a little more diversity would be nice. And presentation. I give it a 3.
This game needs lots of balancing. My "Special" attack did less damage than the regular attack each time I used it. I used it at least 10 times, and each time my special attack did 3-5 damage. Plus, the game was too repetative and slow during combat. I think that damage should be increased from the start to help cut down on the long battles. I'll try to check back in the future to see how you change it. Best of luck!
I agree with the comments below in that the game needs more awards for the player. Some power ups, or level up abilities would make the game more rewarding and keep me wanting to play longer. The art style was definately a nod to Patapon, without using the actual characters from Patapon (if my memory serves me correctly), which was great. Overall, I'm gonna give it a 3/5, but with some additions this could be a 4 - 5 star game for me.
If you enjoy dress-up knock yourself out. But no gameplay, makes this no good in my book. The main redeeming quality is the high quality artwork. Everything looks nice, you just don't do anything with it.
