the circle concept didn't really seem too bad *except* when trying to play on insane. On the easier difficulty I think it provides a good challenge. I really dig this game. Kudos!
Controls just seem busted, in both this game and one of the other Dragon Age Quest games. It seems to think keys are held down way and won't register that I'm hitting any other keys. I want to finish the Dragon Age quest badge, but this is just ridiculous.
An interesting little 'simulation' as it were. Great retro graphics style. This is a favorite for me. A bit short, but there seem to be numerous endings. 4/5
A pretty cool little diversion, but this 'chapter' is a little too easy, especially since I usually have a hell of a time with these games :D Good art and ambiance. 3/5. I'll try to keep an eye out for the next ones.
Constructive Criticism: Learn to make gameplay. Gameplay is meant to reward the player for the time invested in beating a game. There is no reward here, not even a congrats you won screen, unless the Endless Swarm at the end really does end. Make the player feel like they did something productive rather than just click attack like mad. 2/5
I agree with the previous posters...far too fast, unless you are a ninja or something. Decent looking graphics for the few seconds I can see them. Decrease the speed significantly, and you might have a fun little diversion for a bit. At the moment however, it's like a Game Over simulator.
This game is absolutely pointless. It's like Progress Quest, but with terrible graphics and even less of a point. Nearly any other game on Kongregate is more entertaining than this. I say nearly, because this does beat out anything with Hannah Montana. That's about it.
Sorry this isn't trivia, this is just a bunch of random questions with no real point. Trivia games test your knowledge of stuff, not the ability to track what cup the ball is under. 1 star. Good music, but got super annoying really fast.
First time I played, I didn't win a single battle. Not one. Just kept losing until I couldn't attack any more. Even with 6 against 1. The comments below are arguing about the odds of victory, but all I know is that either I got extremely unlucky, or the computer is biased.
This game is excellent. I felt a little sad every time I saw my ghostly friend turn to dust. Game was tough, but not impossible. I hope to someday be able to make games this good.
This game is terrible. It boils down to a glorified menu system with stats. How in the name of the Maker did this get 4 stars? I've seen better games with 2 star reviews. Avoid.
Interesting game concept. It kind of hurts my eyes as you get to the later levels though, and as was commented before a few of the tiles are hard to click on. Overall, great game, original concept, and something that isn't at all a Shooter Derivative. I give it 4/5. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the great comments everyone! To address some of the comments below....I'm working on adding some new areas to the game, that will have some unique gameplay elements to them as well....While there was always a score counter at the end of the game, there is now one in the game itself, as well as a tally of balloons popped at the end of the game....I know the Balloons Popped scoreboard is updating with weird numbers. I"m still trying to figure out why. In the mean time, high scores work, so try to beat the rest of the Kongregation! Thanks, and be sure to check out the rest of the contest entries!
Interesting concept. I think it could be improved by speeding up the overall speed of the game, so that the player is racing from location to location to keep their various stats in the black. Also, collision on the walls would add heavily to the challenge of the the game, and would give you the opportunity to change the layout of the levels as the players progress making things more and more challenging. 2/5
In order for a game to be a game, a game requires some sort of gameplay. The player does something which in turn provides a sort of reward for the player, whether it be a high score, a cool story, or just the satisfaction of having done something awesome.
As near as I can tell, all you do is pop the pumpkins, and when you're done, you can reset the board. There's no score, no timer to see how fast you popped it. The player needs some kind of reward for having played the game. The game as it sits right now has absolutely no reward for the player, making this essentially a non-game. It's good for a first effort.
