@supermeatboy29 You have to submit a "missing achievement or bounty" report for every badge you've fulfilled the requirements for now. You can find a link to it by clicking on the "Achievements" tab next to the game window. You can then select the badge you've completed from the dropdown menu.
I don't know how I could possibly ever enjoy the Papa's games. Having worked in kitchens for a few years and experiencing how stressful it gets, especially when you're the only person on the line, I legitimately am at a loss for how people can see any sort of fun in this. All I see is one extreme headache to be drowned in the drink after my shift.
Both this and the original are weird as all hell, and I love it. So abstract and original. It's hard to believe neither of them are popular in any regard
With the integration of the ruffle flash player, a bunch of old flash games are replayable, including this one. However, level 4 seems to be glitched where it won't recognize that I've completed it, and the ball is bouncing on blocks that aren't actually there
I wish I'd found this when it came out, not 3 years later. This is the best platformer I've ever played. It has such a subtle and amazing challenge curve and never feels unfair or that anything the game is asking of me is outside of my ability.
The story is pretty cool and very lore-heavy, but the fact that it took me about 4 hours of just clicking to get a medium badge is kind of ridiculous. At the end I was just waiting for it to end, and then more and more dialogue and clicking kept coming up, dragging the ending way longer than I thought should've been. There should be some way to speed up the dialogue or the actions, or anything. The cutscenes take way too long for them just being action stills.
I'm excited to see where this demo goes. It really feels like a demo because it feels kind of empty and I maxed every skill and level within minutes. Definitely increase the map size, add new fish, new skills, maybe new boat types or a skill tree of boat progression, there's plenty of things you can do to make this a legitimate game.
Thanks I appreciate that! Yea it's very much a prototype but I'm looking at finishing it out in the future especially cuz there's been so much great feedback including yours.
I already loved this game before the update, and now it feels like you've added the sequel into the original. It's amazing how you can add so much more content without changing anything. Definitely one of my favourite flash games, from the music to the graphics to the simplicity to the replayability and so much more.
This game is honestly amazing. I feel like there is some room for development on this, like adding a more diverse gameplay mechanic besides six pieces of armour and grinding to beat that next level boss. What about taverns where you can get bounties on very powerful creatures that will only be around for a limited amount of time. Stuff like that I think would really make this game less of a one-trick pony and time-killer into a fantastic throwback to 8-bit computer gaming.
I used this to think this game was impossible because I couldn't beat the one level. Now it's easy as anything. All it takes a teensy bit of strategy and you can win.
All around, it was a very nice game. The simplicity of it is fantastic, but the length is too short. I liked not being told what to do at all, though maybe a few other features could be added. I have no idea what they could be, but something to make it more interesting. The music score is great.
This is definitely an interesting concept you got here. I like the new take on the "idle" genre, but the grinding is akin to a RPG. If it were easier to get resources, I'd like the game more. Everything should be explained in more depth, as well. There's lots of potential for this game to be a great one, but you have to get it there first.
I am going to add a very detailed tutorial once I finish implementing all core features. The factory is going to produce resources while being offline, the laboratory will replace the research system in terms of availability. You will still be able to start/stop and change active researches ingame. It is also going to have its own currency instead of gems. Speaking of gems they will still remain as a universal tool for different actions ingame. I also planned some kind of marketplace where you can exchange all currencies (like gems to special resources, factory points or even blueprint points). I am sorry, I would work faster if I could. :)
I think the game is a bit too much like Boss Slayer. Everything about that game is so awesome and refreshing, but when you recycle a lot of the same concepts and ideas from one game to another and call it a completely different thing, any sequels won't turn out as good. Also, I didn't like how the speed couldn't be upgraded very far. Even with it fully upgraded, I didn't see that much of a difference in the speed.
Honestly, the only redeeming factor for this game is the guild system. Otherwise, it's a true piece of gaming garbage that nobody should play. And the GS is introduced later in the levels, so you have to push yourself to get to it. There's just too much to dislike about this game to say it all.
Thanks I appreciate that! Yea it's very much a prototype but I'm looking at finishing it out in the future especially cuz there's been so much great feedback including yours.
