If you want to speed up the early game a bit, buy 2 grenades, go to Qandahar in the middle east, drop both grenades on Rambo to unlock the tank, and then upgrade it once. You should be able to get way more money per level now.
There's no penalty for pausing, so abuse it like crazy. There's lots of screens that only seem to appear at floor 50 or above, so if you get to one you don't recognize, pause and plan your route.
Nah, if you get the burger, you can still get the best ending if you get everything else perfect. Just make sure you get the burger before you brush your teeth. :)
Here's what my arcade setups were for the hard badge: $1k: umbrella, plank, sugar rocket, 2/2/4 length/height/fuel. $5k: hang glider, plank mk 2, pulse jet, 4/5/7 length/height/fuel. $25k: high tech glider, cruise missile, max fuel... Do whatever you want with the leftover cash.
Right above Pluto is the last set of slide-able stars, as far as I can tell. If you can do a jump off of those ones, you'll be eating at the restaurant very soon :)
After all these years, I just now realized that the picnic scene going on at the title screen appears to be a wedding reception. And now all of them except the groom are dead. ;_;
I have found something super fun to attempt. Go into practice mode, choose horror and razor queen. Try to kill the razor queen without swinging your sword or using any special weapons. The point is to try and get the horror to accidentally kill the razor queen. For bonus points, try do it without the armor. :)
At the end of chapter 3, when the game tries to screw you over with 1 carrier + 2 other big ships, kill the two smaller ones first before going after the carrier.
In 23, that colored square in the lower right will take a very direct route to its other color for the solution. You can probably figure out the rest from there.
My method was usually to start with just trying to confirm 1 correct path between two colors by using process of elimination to see which possibilities of that 1 pathway would end up preventing the solution. Once you are sure that you have 1 correct pathway, it's easier to figure out what to do with all the others. Try every weird pathway of that 1 color you can until you find the ones that don't block off the other colors.
That conversation that you have with your boss at the end of level 3 is absolutely perfect. I actually highly recommend that you go talk to him without completing any of your work tasks and see what he says. (Make sure you've opened the pink door in level 3 first; you can come back and finish the tasks you forgot without any penalty or story difference)
