when you get surrounded, go to the pause menu and buy proximity grenade. it drops instantly and blows up instantly, hurting everything around you but you will be unharmed.
here is something VERY important if you're looking to capture the whole city, especially on harder/nightmare mode. the other three endings actually give you bonuses if you keep playing after wards: cure zombie-ism = no more new zombies created. close the portal = no more horde attacks. draft a constitution = higher % success on missions. definitely should have been included in the tutorial at least
on nightmare its a good idea to let your scavengers handle food needs until you have like 20 soldiers, rather than waste turns getting enough farms. i just made sure that my population was never close to like 10 more than my farm production
if your happiness is low, ALWAYS have at least 2 people researching on a single project. i was 2 days away from researching anti-virus, then my one scientist who was reasearching it killed himself, forcing me to start over. not cool.
4.999999/5, the one, itty, bitty, TINY detail that really peeves me is that i keep losing happiness from sending my guys on kill zombie missions, even if the danger level was 0%
since my last comment was just complaining about the difficulty ramp of nightmare mode, ill pitch in an important tip about nightmare mode: minimize the surface area of your fort wall whenever you can (e.g., a 9 square fort in the shape of a square has only 9 exposed sides, where as a 1x9 shaped fort has 20 exposed sides). only the zombies that are already right next to your walls will attack the fort. so if you expand too fast rather than work on the areas you already own, you'll just end up losing the places you reclaimed, along with some survivors. if you arent sure about which buildings can be replaced with what, first beat the game on an easier setting so you actually know what to expect. also on nightmare mode you will get those events that make you lose hapiness very often, even on missions with 0% danger rate, ESPECIALLY the kill zombie missions.
on the nightmare difficulty, by the time you find 2 more survivors, there is already 50+ more zombies attacking that night on top of what you already had to deal with.. not fair
the minions should probably be nerfed a bit in stick war 2 if wizards will still have summon spells, because as it is they can pretty much be the only melee fighters you need since they get replaced instantly
i really dont get how the health works in campaign. you always die in one shot from rockets, railgun, and close range shotgun, but enemies always take 2 or more, even the ones that arent zombies?
the custom balls idea would be awesome, and let the players publish them so other players can try to figure out how they did it. almost like a players pack thing
for those who dont have a mic, on the puzzle "louder" just type out 'blow' and the candle is blown out. and the puzzle for ping and pong is so hard i doubt 99% of us figured it out without a guide... you have to have this game open in two windows for those two puzzles
