This game needs a cash display on the main menu screen; I never watch my money in teh game, and I have to click "shop" often only to find out I can't buy anything yet - if I had a cash display, I'd save the click because I remember what the thing I want to buy next costs.
The game lags horribly, it has no sound (needed for feedback when pieces fit), pieces don't "click" together when they fit (they should do that even if they are not in their final position), overall it needs a lot of improvement to be playable with enjoyment.
With the latest change, I find it now too hard off the beginning; I die to easily to get into the flow, which would make me get better at it. Find a way to get from where it was to where it is now (more barriers etc.) as the game progresses?
The concept is not original at all, the execution doesn't motivate in any way, although it is technially competent. If you like simple Pachinko machines, this one's yours.
Very good game! Impeccable pacing, logical puzzles (except the crowbar, use the buddha with a another object), flawless graphics (but the zoom factor is off for Kongregate, the logs are badly readable?). These are minor issues, it's 5/5 and favorite for me.
The red herring is not used (look it up in the dictionary) and refers to the brand of the developer, Red Herring Labs, obviously. :)
The metagame at the start is actually better than the jump game. The simplistic nature of the actual game turns me off; the textual descriptions allows me to amplify the game with my own mind. Related genres are text adventures (now called "interactive fiction" and, of course, books. It requires skills to play the game that much of the Kong audience may not have?
