Just completed all levels with 3 stars. There's no balance issue with the game. Each level has a different combination of enemies, that requires a different 'build'. Some levels require more AoE damage, others, high single damage. Some need focus on laser guns, others, machine guns. You just have to figure out the right combo for each level. *SPOILER ALERT* To beat the last boss without taking damage: 1. Focus upgrade points on Blue Enhancement Block (max out your slow %), 2. Build two laser bomb guns intertwined between two blue blocks, 3. Build one laser gun for extra damage, 4. The key ingredient, build four rocket blocks. 5. Use the rockets to hold off the big boss as long as you can. If you time it right, the boss won't even move at all. In the mean time, you'll keep earning more money from the small enemies. Once you've got enough resources and maxed out your tower, let the boss come forward until it switches to another type of shield. Repeat step 5 -> boss is dead.
The fact that, even with high agility and vision, you can't navigate to grab some of the important resources/bonus or avoid bombs/enemies makes this game more like a jackpot game. You rely too much on randomness/luck and repetitiveness rather than skills and strategy. My suggestion is to make the map bigger (or everything else smaller) so players (with true vision) can see further and anticipate when a bonus or important gem is available and try to navigate to actually grab it. As of right now, each drill feels like a roll of a dice where you just can't possibly know or have enough control of what you're going to get. You do have some control of it but not enough to make this a game of skills.
@zipas, you made an error with your logic. You divided 790 gold with 4.17%. That's not how it works. You need to multiply the percentage with the average gold income per monster kill. If each monster gives you 100gold (around wave 30+), than spending 790 for 4.17% increase would give you profit after you kill 189 monsters. Though I'm sure that after wave 30ish, each monster gives you more than 100. Not suggesting that the gold bonus is a worthy upgrade at the beginning, but it does help
Game controls still doesn't respond well even after the update. It still lags and sometimes they won't jump even though I spam the up key. This ruins the gaming experience.
Game should wait until the grabbers finish getting all the loots before freezing and ending when you've depleted all your bullets. I've got 3 grabbers with large coins heading my way, but they stopped because I've just used my last bullet.
Beat the game without ever losing a single battle. Focus upgrades on Shield, Double Move, Life and Luck. Best strategy is to save mana for Double Move, because you get more mana if you use 4 blocks or more. Double Move will keep your mana high almost all the time unless you fail to spot the longest paths. You can even use Double Move twice in one turn if you're lucky.
If you want to beat Final Panda without any of the character dying :
1. Fully upgrade Rei and Ken.
2. Pick these skills : Heal (fully upgraded), Taunt (fully upgraded), Dynamite (not important), Shield (fully upgraded).
3. At the start of the battle, wait a while. The Panda will attack Rei 3 times, before moving on to Ken 3 times. None of them will die thanks to Red Kimono, and Armor of Magician.
4. Then the Panda will focus on Lee.
5. Give Shield to Lee.
6. Use Taunt to move him around the from one end to the other end of the screen.
7. Drop dynamite in the middle as soon as it's ready.
8. Use Heal if Lee's HP drops.
9. Repeat step 5-8 until Panda dies.
How to beat the Final Panda :
1. Pick these skills : Heal (fully upgraded), Taunt (fully upgraded), Dynamite (not important), Shield (fully upgraded).
2. Get Panda to attack Lee, use Taunt (if necessary).
3. Shield Lee (and heal if you need) to keep him healthy.
4. As soon as Taunt is ready, use Taunt to move Lee to the other end of the screen. Panda will follow him without hitting anyone.
5. Before Lee reaches the end screen, cancel the previous Taunt command by telling him to move to the other end of the screen. Lee will get hit once or twice, that's why you need to keep him healthy.
6. After moving back and forth once, you might want to let Lee attack the Panda. Fully upgraded Taunt will give him extra 2 armor.
7. Repeat step 4-6.
For those who complain about their character keeps doing the wrong attack (E.g. warrior casting magic or mage attacking with their wand), one way to get around this is to use warrior with zero magic training and damage. Never give him magic skills training and only equip swords with physical damage only.
Another tip is to only do two jobs : sweeping floors and stock taking. Focus on one job at a time as they'd give you more money per attempt once you've mastered the job. First, do sweeping until your exploration reaches 200+, and explore until you find Forest Retreat or better resting places. Then, switch to Stock Taking only for the fastest income. Upgrade Timesheets as soon as possible to get +30 gold/day from stock taking.
Train your combat skills before you go in a higher level dungeon, unless you want to lose a couple of weeks because your character is dead. Never buy equipments, they're waste of money. Stock up on health potions to avoid getting killed inside dungeons.
If you feel like you can't win, don't suicide on other people. Be fair and leave the game. That saves you time and it is an honorable thing to do. And saying "I helped decide who wins" only shows that the only thing you're good at is helping someone else win but not yourself.
Pretty silly indeed. Last game on hard campaign, the computer beat me in two turns using a trojan. The only option available was discard and discard (since I didn't have enough resource to do anything else).
But I completed the game 100% anyway. Hint : Plan your battles and use the deck manager.
