do specialists have any use before you reach the first 40? Ive upgraded everything soon as I can, and even running overnight Im still nowhere close to seeing 40 specialists (currently at 8) the big money sectors wont even pay off once for 2-3 hours at least.

so thanks to a horrible ting called "work" I havent played since wednesday last week. today, all my Crusaders say "max" even ones to the far left that are nowhere near the levels of the guys on the right. is this a new game mechanic?
so not only has this game turned ridiculously grindy, I'm having items disappear from the warehouse. I had a few bearings Ive been stashing for the car, found two yesterday. come in today with a third, and the ones in the warehouse are gone. but Ive got some new empty spaces in my crates where they were. add to it Im almost level 30, hundreds of zombies killed but Ive only found 25 ears and I need 75?! too bad, couldve been a lot more fun
a good game has maybe one built in limit to play. this one currently has two. either durability/repair needs to be improved or the energy penalty/movement needs to be improved. with both, growth and play reach punishing levels of delay and running about just to maintain equipment much less getting items for quests left over after crafting the basics.
over the last week al my talents mushrooms reset. I redid most of them last night but most are reset to zero again. havent lost them but putting back thousands of mushrooms takes more time than I want to spare
dang even the kred costs for some upgrades that won't benefit you for too many levels are CRAZY. seeing that I cant open most of my rewards from battles without waiting, have to upgrade many things a half dozen times just to be able to store enough (after more waiting) to buy things that will help me in the game. every single thing has a cost and wait timer. Ive got all this cleared territory that I dont meet some level requirement of, and without them I can't improve my troops to make them useful. lots of catch-22 even if you try to focus on a narrower goal. only way to break that is with what, a thousand kreds? then even if I do that, I gotta wait and grind to get enough resources to build the thing, then wait some more, then grind and wait for the resources to do the research that might just let me get another 3 or 4 stars before I gotta do all this again? too bad this game looked like it had potential.
OK here is XP breakdown:
- Cars: gain XP for each meter traveled
- Guns: gain XP for each hit at enemy
- Devices: gain XP when it recharges
There are XP progress bars near each item, there are no numbers, you can only see the current progress on the bars.
I must be missing something. trying the "gold first" thing, manage two rounds before the egg fails. Toss in a fisher and then upgrade the egg, egg consumes too much and I lose. more dwarves working? run out of fish. upgrade a very small team of dwarves to the highest level I can afford? still run out of fish. Or egg dies. Balance only slows the death.
the only thing better than the levels are the meta jokes in the events' text.
as what went thru my mind, among many other complaints about The Crystal Skull...."Aliens? Really?" :)
