No matter how I attack, when there's an enemy on the screen, my guy will only attack to the right. He cant turn left and attack. 1/5 until this is fixed.
This game deserves some sort of prize in story-telling. Really. There needs to be prizes / awards going out to games. Almost never is a game so good that the characters and story stay with me long after I've finished playing. I can't get Christina out of my mind... and what Troy must have gone through... the way their predicaments are revealed... the plot twists at every turn... there was simply an amazing amount of character development packed into such a revealing and indepth game. My only complaint is that I can only give this game 5 stars.
qwasek said it best... there's no "reason to play". There's no way to win. Winning and losing are not distinct concepts in the game... the ending is just the same for both when time is out. There's no second stage, no progression, no way to upgrade or get better, and no way to "die" and have to start over (because that happens regardless).
ok, sorry, I didn't make it passed question 7. This feels WAY too tedious, like a homework assignment, and there is no reward or feedback for getting the questions right. You don't get a power up, see something explode, or get any other sense of "gain" or "accomplishment" that such feedbacks provide. 1/5
I wish so much that there was a mute button. I really, really do. I sometimes like to listen to podcast while I game. It sucks tremendously when they overlook something that small.
The guy keeps going to the right no matter what. I've checked my keyboard. The right arrow key is not stuck. I've tried other programs. It doesn't do this anywhere else but on this game. How do I make that stop? I even tried reloading the game. It starts out again with him running only to the right and doing nothing else.
Just started playing this after finishing the others in the series. Epic War 4 was just fantastic. But this one is a prime example of how things can go completely wrong. Your "hero" is a fragile little flower. In stages after the main game, he dies within 3 seconds of being shot at, with no way of grinding-and-upgrading to correct for this issue. On top of that, if he dies, it's game over. He's essentially a useless unit that you cant remove from your party. And there were a lot of other extremely bad decisions made besides that.
Besides for these 2 things, this game was like crack for me. I'd envision coming home from work and playing it. I wouldn't bother going out or doing anything. Just staying home and playing this. It's that amazing.
The only other thing I'd object to is the cutscenes. It was artwork in the 3rd game edition... why does this one have these weird cut-out things? It doesn't look as nice as the artwork in the third game. In fact it feels kind of out-of-place.
One thing I really didn't like was the fact that we couldn't replay the entire game from the start but keeping all our levels and equipments. We could do that in the third game. It was awesome... kind of like that fantasy we all have where we could start again as children, but keeping all our knowledge and experience. That feature should *DEFINITELY* have been kept, and repeated as an option in all future versions.
I've got a rather serious issue... just started playing. When I buy something from a shop, how can I tell ahead of time whether my guys can use the item or not? More than once, I buy something, then there's a big red X over it once it's in my inventory, but there wasn't an X on it in the shop when I bought it. How can I tell if I can use it or not before I buy???
4 badges, all rather easy. For me, this one was great... but two things. 1. it was rather short... this game had serious potential, like Epic Battle Fantasy III, something that would take me at least several days, if not a week or two to finish. That would have been great. And 2, I would like it if there were at least some need to grind. Not a lot, but at least some. Tweaking out your characters and making them basically "gods" before they go in for the final fight. That would have been great!
The lack of gold totally kills the game for me. I had really, *REALLY* hoped to sit and grind a while on certain stages, even if I got only a few hundred gold each time, I'd still grind for hours until I had a fortune and spend it on upgrades. Sadly you cant do that. This game was awesome until I discovered this. 1/5 until thats fixed, sorry.
