You are correct, but I uploaded this more or less to see if it functioned correctly on Kong. Worse graphics? Thats slightly harsh XD I will add more tables and other things once I get some things worked out first. Thanks for the feed back
Finishing each level should automatically take me to the next level. Also, it would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for resetting since the game is mostly keyboard controlled.
I sometimes wonder why I bother when these demos get more views than my games...this demo isn't terrible though and at least you didn't use Mambo as the main character. You should expand on it (a lot) and get rid of the Forge graphics.
After seeing this, I checked out some of your games, and I don't really understand either. I'm 13 and I made this really simple game that took an hour, whereas you have games with actual depth. It does not make sense.
It doesn't look like you put much time into designing the levels because they are very small and far too easy. Also you should consider using different graphics because I've seen them in dozens of other games already.
This was more of a test to see if the coding for the enemies/hitboxes and the controls were all correct and solid. The next installment will be much more in depth with coding for fully underwater levels, ladders, and more enemies.
This should be uploaded to stencyl.com as a work in progress, not here. I think the crash course should come with a message saying "Please don't upload this to game portals!"
Just because you used the platformer kit, that doesn't mean you need to leave all the graphics the same, especially that character who is probably in over half the Stencyl games on this site.
