on top of my last note, I meant to say that the tree guys ability is useless when a char gets one shot by a boss atk because then both char's die for no reason... When the tree saves the person give them like a 1 second shield
I think the tree dude has a glitch where he and the char he's supposed to save dies, though maybe the char just takes so much dmg she dies after the health boost... I hate timings in this game as well, like if you're fast enough, you can actually dodge attacks by picking someone up when it becomes your turn
sadly I'd say that sniper should have the special, "% chance to crit" but you took that one, what if snipers could pierce? though I guess that wouldn't hold up well since the enemies are so spread out.
It's a really good game, it takes time and skill to make it through a lot of levels. I thought it was a bit unfair that once you gathered the lightning on a stage you didn't have to collect it again. That makes it easier to shoot for incredibly low times, and makes it easy to go, "Ok got one *leave* come back and go for another if they are having that hard a time.
A lot of times early on I found that it's almost easier to have less characters, because the field becomes really cluttered. And some challenges force you to wait till later because you'll need to grind to a point when you can make up for the fact you have 3 turns. Especially when your mov, and atk are both halved. I feel I'll be close to end game before I beat stage 4 challenge.
To be completely honest I found the game was a great way to kill a good hour. But while the enemy leveling is overpowered, so are you. The spells and abilities you have access too are often best timed to just use it after your opponent does. What really got annoying was even after I completely wiped an enemy they just kept spawning 1 to 4 minions outside their gates and because of it I had to wait for a minute or two before my troops even attacked their castle. I think that this is something that could use a scoring system, and possibly even adding levels where the opponents become progressively stronger. I beat this game almost completely with just the first character, and the first lvl upgrages of the archers, and warriors.
I think you need to scale abilities better, come up with different ability combinations, and make it longer. Also scale growth a little better.
I would have enjoyed this game more, if it applied actual tactics to win. Sure I can spend my time actually trying to win faster, and better, but why bother when spamming first level archers, will get me through more than half the game. It was hardly worth playing for the badges, which I completely unlocked in less than 25 minutes. idk, maybe I'm putting too much expectation into it.
I hate seeing people crapily put a song together that roughly sounds like another song everyone loves and knows, just so it get a crap ton of likes, when it doesn't deserve it.
I give this game a 1... while yes the harder stages often trick you up with longer numbers... there's no real challenge to it... I've played many games like this with stages I have no idea how to even begin solving. But with these games, just solve from lowest ot highest number... 3's, 4's, and it's almost impossible to fail...
I give this game a 1/5 for being too easy, plain, and unoriginal.
In playing the game, I think the focus on this game was more story oriented rather than game play. I feel that the game play itself has taken a step back from what 4 was. But looking back at all 5 games, I realize that each game changed dramatically in an attempt to improve the game play and I think it's great that the game developer is changing the game in an attempt to make it stay alive. Think about it! If he had made all 5 games the same as the first one, it would be very boring. I think that this game by itself holds up very well even with it's flaws, just like each of the previous games.
