Fun game! Middle click brings up the scroll mouse after pausing, and space bar just scrolls the page, so it's a bit awkward. Why not tradition "P" to pause? Also, the new upgrade menu could be accessible in the pause menu, since you can get quite a few DNA points while playing a game.
Thanks for the feedback! Regarding pause controls, adding 'P' is a good idea. Space was working before, but it is not now... I will try to sort this out. About the upgrade menu, one of the reasons to add it was to give the player a reason to try again after death, as many pointed out it was too frustrating. I guess adding the possibility to upgrade in-game will remove this purpose, won't it?
Pretty good game, it does get pretty repetitive once you figure out you can just fire at the path between rows 2 and 3 since everything bottlenecks there. I'd suggest a button/key to force the next wave to start, and move the snow globe to 'T'. If for some reason you weren't wanting to use 'T' you could use 1,2,3,4,5. Maybe a bit more map variety so it's 10 waves on one map, 10 waves on another map or something.
Some good improvements on the original! I think it might be good to have some other progression system like levels/wave/quests/etc. so that it's not just survival and you have something to work towards.
Nice game! I feel like I cheesed some of the levels using the increasing bounce, but it was overall good level design and good pacing of new mechanics.
Not a bad idea! Not too challenging and the variety of levels are pretty good. Might want to clean up the art and SFX, since collecting the clumped up gotchy can get pretty loud. If you wanted to expand this, you could try adding different enemy types, more longer levels (with more time to complete), or more timed obstacles (spikes that go up and down).
Not a bad game, I would get rid of the in-game ads though. I'd also get rid of the "hold to play," since this is a web game not a mobile game. Make the bullets a bit bigger so they can be seen easier too. And get rid of all the buttons that don't seem to do anything (the arrow reload button top left, the exit button on the end screen).
I'm not sure what the deal is, but on level 1, clicking the red square only beats the level half of the time. Sometimes I have to click the right square up to 5 times before it realizes that it should continue (even if at that point the squares are different colors!). This becomes more apparent as you continue to play, and makes earning good star ratings VERY difficult, if not impossible. Otherwise, this would be a nice little puzzle game to play.
Great game! Good level design with a simple mechanic! Might want to think about having another key for rotating instead of shift, I got a sticky key popup at one point!
Hey all! Thanks for playing! Just a quick note: This game was made for Kong's "Game in 10 Days" competition, so that's why it's a bit short. I had a few other ideas, and since it seems like you all want more, I'll go ahead and work on a sequel with those ideas! Keep on playing, rating, and commenting, I'm listening, and I hope I can make something you all will enjoy more!
Nice game! The different block (and err... ball) types were interesting and showed up at a good pace. Very fun, very puzzling, and very rewarding once you complete a level! Keep up the good work!
Pretty solid puzzle platformer! Some of the jumps can be a bit tricky since you slow down and "stick" to the side of platforms (might need to change some friction on the objects), but it's still doable. Good variety of puzzles and a nice theme too.
Thanks for the feedback! I will likely do an overhaul on movement if I do a sequel, but I will look into finding a fix for this version that will hopefully fix that issue and not create more! Glad you enjoyed it!
EDIT: I have tweaked movement!
Could use a bit more to keep the game entertaining, right now it's just a walk from point A to point B game with not much to do on the way. Different enemy types, more level layouts, a more engaging story that doesn't give up halfway, and maybe a bit more forgiving about death/restarting would be good. Also, when you upload your game, add 20px to the height and width, it'll get rid of the scrollbars.
You Know what? the more I play my own game, the more I realize how much it sucks. Honestly Level 3 is probably the closes I ever got to actual level design in game. Super Cube Game 1 is better than this, and that is not a great game either!
Wow, you're better than me!
