The game does load on Chrome, for me at least, and although the BOTD isn't announced, when I go back to my account screen, the BOTD is showing up as earned. Chat rooms are abolished for most games, so no point waiting for chat. But I have reported missing badges since the chat was lost, and got a prompt response from Kong awarding the badge, so it is still worth reporting badges as missing. Kong is still functioning as it always did in that respect.
It would be helpful if the game told you that you could glide by pressing the up arrow/top half of screen at the beginning, rather than at the end of zone 2. Incidentally, I left the game running to type this, and won the easy badge without pressing any keys. Go figure!
So, I completed it with the keyboard, but level 12 was VERY fiddly, trying to jump using space. I managed it on maybe the thirtieth try. I do think though that only testing it with the controller is rather risky when launching a game. Anyway, good game overall, persevere if you have the same problem I did, and good luck!
"*The game was only tested with XBOX 360 controller." So that's why it's impossible to play beyond level 11 on a keyboard? Overrated game, shame it's a game of the year since no way I can get the badge, and I bet I'm not the only one ...
I really enjoyed the game play, Sep 24, 2019, but then I noticed that this game was published Jan 08, 2012 and the sequel is nowhere to be found. So sad to realize that the mystery will never be solved unless the developer miraculously reappears!
Such a lovely game, reminded me of the movie Spirited Away, especially the music by the lake. Just captures the spirit world perfectly. Looking forward to the sequel ...
Well, the walkthrough on the Puzzle Walkthrough channel on youtube got me through this with relative ease. Once you get the hang of the controls it isn't too bad, and I'm always reluctant to criticize because I've never created a game as complex as this!
Last level - bouncing down from 99 - there is a sweet spot, where the ball just bounces between the top and bottom paddles - find that after maybe ten bounces, and you can sit back and watch the number count down.
Medium badge! It's doable, just keep playing until you get sufficient powerups, I got there around level 15. Go for the gold gems as they are point multipliers. I found particularly useful the superman and medic powerups. If you get eaten or hit a rock, just press all arrow keys as quicly as you can, in any order.
Fun game, surreal ending (if you can get past the four guys all firing at you at the same time - I just made a run for it, rather than trying to kill them), but badge didn't appear on completing the game, as many others have commented. Had to report missing achievement to get the badge. That damn banana!
5 minutes to get the badge - this is the sort of badge of the day I like! It's a really well made game, I like the old school pixels, and it deserves a sequel and/or the facility for users to make, save and share their own levels.
The easy badge is easy to get, or at least it was for me. Just make sure you go from main menu to 1 player, then training, then target practice. You only have to hit the red rings on the opponent (right side of the screen) 21 times to get the badge, A+up arrow to hit the high rings, A+right arrow for mid rings, A+down arrow for low rings. Hope that helps someone :-)
I'm just wondering how big this pile of coins can get before it collapses onto the King and crushes him. Distract and worry the King with the possibility of poisoned tea, whilst the real danger lurks behind his back. That's the butler's cunning plan ...
