Thanks for feedback people. The idea of pushing your health low and dying is a nice twist, but I wonder if it would be annoying also - you would have to keep a constant eye on your health. It is possible to die in the current version (not by getting too many damaging items though)...
On the first level with a lever I killed myself without first triggering the lever. Now my second guy is stuck down the bottom and can't kill himself, and there appears no way to restart the level. Otherwise nice game though!
optravisprime - er, because that's not how these type of games work! Gravity gives a downwards acceleration. Clicking provides an upwards acceleration to counter it. If you could fly straight up it would be a completely different game (where the physics didn't make sense)!
Quite right, the Helicopter game was not the first of the "one-button to fly up, gravity drags you down, fly through a tunnel" type games. It was just the first well-known Flash version. I included shields, real collision physics, shooting, powerups etc which I think differentiates rubble racer enough to call it a "rip off" a bit of a stretch.
Marcel - that's very uncool to tell people to rate 1/5 on other games because you want badges on your own game. In fact, I doubt you are the author of this game.
It is not already added up. If things are still moving, then its possible that more damage will occur (e.g. a ball slowly rolls off an edge and drops onto a target). You need to wait until everything has stopped (or timeout after a certain limit if things do not stop e.g. the zero-g levels).
Hey folks, just updated the damage calculation so hopefully it works regardless of computer speed now (level 10 should work). Please let me know if it fixed the problem or it still exists (make sure to reload the page, maybe clear your cache too). Thanks :)
@aldrin - Some things simply do not stop moving, they wobble continuously so I have to add a time out. But I will look at changing it to take account of slower computers...
@Vigi - so you got past level 10? There is up to 6 seconds of time after the "please wait" message appears which is normally enough. Also, Kongregate's terms prevent me from adding the buyable content, so it doesn't make sense to downrate for that!
No your connection speed will not affect gameplay. Good idea but a velocity check does not work as sometimes things will wobble and then fall, you don't want to stop the calculation before objects get some chance to fall.
