Cute concept! :) Though there were a bit too many 'leaps of faith' involved. Maybe put 'half blocks' on the sides of the screen so the player knows where he can jump to when leaving the screen. I'd love to see this get developed further, the end just left me haning' now (:
Fun little game :)
It might be fun to add the players highscore and last score (or lvl) on the menu screend, so it adds a bit of replay value (getting a better score).
Very fun puzzle game :) The difficulty progression feels high some times, but it makes it feel really rewarding when you beat another level! Having the goals clearly visible really helps in figuring out what's wrong with each setup :)
Succes met de verdere development! Het is al een tof spel zo (:
I don't know why Vartiovuori is getting downvoted, I agree with his sentiment. The game is also pretty repetitive, and there should be a way to bring back the instructions is you clicked through them too fast.
I like the concept, but pleeease make the up-arrow the jump key. I feel like sometimes jumping and going left or right at the same time makes the character not-jump, which can be finnicky if you then fall down two stages. For the last couple of souls I'd really prefer a map to guess where I have and haven't been (maybe even only make parts of the map available if you find that area). But overall, it is a really cute game :)
Liked the interesting mechanic in this one :) I do agree that some of the jumps need a lot of precision, especially the jump along the left spikes in level four was a little annoying, but overall, love it :D I especially like how each level brings a new or harder way of using the mechanic. Looking forward to the next levels!
I like the game :) the star-powers really make it more fun than your general match-3 game.
One complaint though, the game doesn't seem to save progress, had to start over when I returned :|
Okay, after playing for a while, here's what could be better. (I like the story so far, some extra flavourtext for NPCs for world building would be nice).
- Every time you sleep you have to re-equip your stuff, which is quite literally killing.(this is my main compaint); - I think some 'sidequests' like kill 20 slimes and stuff would help make feel the game a bit less grindy at times. - I'd like more in-game hints on what to do/where to go to ('in the west' etc, since it's hard to remember place-names). - I like that the dog tags along with the cat :D I can understand it's level resets, since it probably isn't supposed to be a long-time companion; - you might want to make it more clear that crafting items can be done at the well. ; -it should not be possible to sell the cutting axe :o ;- it feels strange that only the cat could slash bushes, even if you've crafted some fancy pancy swords. - that being said, the maps are nice, the story so far is good as well, so keep up the work :)
The axe wasn't meant to be sold, so that is a bug, it does open the menu after using transform, but I didn't want to auto optimise just in case that would put on gear you didn't intend. This is just the first of the series of games, definitely taking everything you said into account. Thank you for the review, and the patch will add the fixed and more content.
Nice concept. It'd be nice to be able to give the option to switch the left- and right key (I want the block to go left when clicking left). Navigation between levels should be doable with a button-press, not the mouse (spacebar is most common).
For the extraordinary thing with ghost pirate, there's something hiding behind the door...
Fun game overall, and I like the aesthetics :). It took me a few seconds to figure out what to do, and some commands are a little vague, but I guess that's part of the charm.
The game is fun by itself, but it is kind of a pity that there's no significant improvements since the last games. There were plenty of good suggestions in the comments.
The graphics are awesome, the character to die for, and the general story is cute as well :) Awesome game! (And this comes from someone who's bad at rhytm games, haha)
Great idea! Thanks!
