Hate how luck-based this is, died so many times due to either there being only single reds scattered around, transform giving me the wrong color (with no vampiric touch) or just groups not coming together right. Might be the first BOTD I won't get which royally sucks.
It was kind of awkward to come back have to restart, though this version is much faster and I had very little trouble with any stage. A tip: once you gain the Wooden Leg weapon, use it all the time. I know it seems weak with 70% reduced damage, but the ability to do an AoE attack is priceless...many stages I never had to move far from the portal the ghosts came out of.
My issue in level 15 is not the ninjas, not even the wave 40 boss...i got him dead every time. No my issue is the assassins, makes me wish they had their old ability of dodging half the time. This damage reduction kills me, since even with fully upgraded meteors and radiance towers hitting them, it is still luck on the damage. Here to try again and get brilliant though.
So has anyone been able to find out where to obtain the Iron Pike (2nd Cavalry weapon) or the Templar Knight and Joker characters? I've been through this game 5 times now, went through the shop after every story mission a good 50 times and done all the side missions a good 12-15 times. Still missing them. Any help in this aspect would be greatly appreciated.
@Fourbits All the status effects have a chance to land...so while it doesn't stack, it's nice to have at least 2 units with it to insure it will likely always stick and keep affecting the enemy.
@Hugomanen The 30th character is the shinobi, which is either bought or can be found in the first assassinate battle I believe. Greg is in there, known as Kong's Warrior when you buy him in the shop.
So found out where the Tankman is located. (The unit between the Cyborg andSuperman) It is on the Newgrounds Warzone side mission, took me forever to get him. No idea on the 2nd Cavalry weapon (Iron Pike) or the other two units. (The Templar Knight and Joker)
Be nice if a mission said what possible rewards there are. I found out what weapon and characters I am missing, but no idea where to get them from. Hell, one of the characters I have never seen and I have done every side missions numerous times and on my third playthrough. So if anyone knows of locations, it would be greatly appreciated.
At least in mid-game or against solo bosses. The wizard armed with the eye staff(solo) and the thrower armed with either the skunk(poison) or the vial(still poison, weaker but different element) is an awesome combo. It may take a little longer, but almost guarantees no deaths. Get multiple devils if possible for the power and your set. I tend to do a 5-3 or a 5-2-1 with a devil fighter with the hell breaker just for damage output. Hope it helps anyone.
