The players here on kong are much more hardcore than I anticipated. At the request of players here, I've removed the cheats (and the links, since they didn't work). Good luck!
The idea of telling you the cheats is that you can use them if you need them or just want to get a feel for the game. I personally like using cheats in games so I thought I'd give you the same option.
Ok, the game isn't stolen. I have posted on http://www.themetalbox.com to prove it.
It does not crash firefox, but it does take a lot of processor time on the title screen. I have reduced the processor time on the rest of the game, so if Firefox seems to hang, start a game and it should come back to life.
Kongregate does not support shockwave yet for the API's so I will not be able to implement them for any of my games. If they start supporting shockwave I will certainly implement them.
Please bear in mind that when I started programming these games (9 years ago) Flash wasn't up to much. Shockwave may seem like a stupid plug-in now but there were good reasons for choosing it back then. Why don't I change now? 80,000 words of code is a bit much to translate. If you want to do it, you're welcome to download the source from http://www.themetalbox.com/?page=downloads and show me how it's done.
I hope you'll enjoy the game for what it is. I'll upload MR2 soon.
@zakbain, If you summon a living mage (monk), the ghost will go into him and impart it's experience. Otherwise, the ghosts just act as decoys for any enemies around. You can't get them to follow you on to the next screen.
I'm excited to be here on Kong. I've always felt TMB is more of a developer site and there should be somewhere else to actually publish the games to when they're finished. For me, Kong is that place.
Glad people like the game, sorry about the crashes. This is a slightly newer version of MR3 as I thought I'd fixed some bugs. Obviously there are more. I'd also overhauled the levelling up system for this version to make it less insane so maybe that's where the problem is.
I'm tied up now for a week but I'll look at it after and upload more games to Kong.
@skullwipe those are graves - they're just for show.
@Arthaeon The towers will fire massive axes at the enemies once they're finished. Problem is, they often take so long to finish that your enemies are dead before it happens. To speed up the building of towers, summon more dwarfs. Also, dwarfs will build quicker as they level up.
@shadowslayer19 To summon people you have to collect them first.
1 - get the blue spell
2 - fire it at blue warriors, archers etc found around the map.
3 - they will join your army
4 - charge up the blue spell and fire it to summon them
hope that helps, i know it's a bit confusing - glad you like the game.
This game is not stolen. Check out my post on http://www.themetalbox.com if you don't believe me.
I am posting this game here as an experiment. More will follow if it gets a good reception.
