I really wish you'd make it so that you can continue to control Moby Dick even if you move the mouse off-screen. It gets really annoying when he stops because the mouse moved just a bit off where it was supposed to be.
The game was ok, interesting plot, but you should REALLY have someone proofread it, it's kind of messy and a bit scattershot. That bug where the needle triggers a bit behind the slider is still there, too, makes it a huge pain to time it right.
To clarify my previous statement, when I said "Description of the starting pistols", I meant a summary, or stats, when you hover over them in the Campaign. Also, 2/5 for cheating AI. I'm not referring to the gimmicks, those are fine, but it's not enough that it can see you while invisible, but they can track your movements, and shoot at the right moment, and nowhere is this more obvious than the last boss. (P.S. In case anyone is thinking "Oh, he just couldn't beat it, call the whambulence, I did beat it after several tried, but the point stands. I do not like fighting against cheating A.I.)
A description of the starting pistols would be nice. Also, please fix invisibility. If you get it, you can't see where you are, but the enemy still knows where you are, so it's a downgrade for you, and an upgrade for them.
The Rhinos seem to have a bit of a faulty hitbox. The fins, and the top bit of the body, don't seem to be affected by shots. Even with that, and a couple of other minor grievances, this game is still great! 5/5
While all your games have had unique concepts and have been interesting to play, ClueSweeper and Zombies Took My Daughter have remained my favorites, in terms of fun, replayability, and concept. Now, I have another game to add to my "Favorites of Nerdook" mental list.
Agreed, a self destruct button woudl be nice, I messed up on 16. Also, I love how some creative use of the faultlines can bypass a large chunk of level.
What the HECK is wrong with the combat in this game? Whenever I enter it, the background changes rapidly. When I make an attack with the gun, it shoots, and then nothing happens. (z's appear above my head.) When I use the board and nail, I move up, attack, the bug moves up, attacks, and then nothing.
Something's wrong, I can't load any of the user-made armies. When I click load, either in game or out, the screen turns black, something pops up for a quarter of a second, and then I'm back to the view of the solar system.
I just finished, and I just want to say thank you, Pseudolonewolf, for making this game. It was a very enjoyable blast from the past, and quite humorous as well, and I really appreciate the effort that has obviously gone into this game.
This is definitely fun, but white square on light background, especially gray, makes it hard to see where you are, and caused a couple of my deaths, getting too close because I thought I was farther away. The game is also in desperate need of a pause button, and it'd be easy to implement. If you pause, to resume simply hover over where your cursor was before and click. Third, having all the squares slow down when you get close, but move at rapid speeds when you're not forming a connection is incredibly jarring, and another cause of a couple deaths. Finally, if you end up making and losing connections at a rapid pace, the flickering lights could give someone a bad headache. I only felt a mild annoyance, but the issue is still there.
I just can't shake the overall feeling that the upgrade system is a trap, and that if you don't allocate your points the exact way the developer did/intended for you to do, you're toast. Even being able to remove points doesn't help. An example is the second level. It took me a few speed boosts before I could even clear the fairly large second jump, and the bird flying by the edge means you need to jump quite high, as well. Oh, and the game is laggy at seemingly random spots. 2/5
While this is definitely one of the cooler and more unique ideas I've seen, breaking the game into several sections in one level isn't very good. It's really frustrating to not know where your boundaries are, accidentally move your mouse off screen, lose track of where your mouse is, and having to spend some time getting back to where you were. The mouse movement bit doesn't help these matters, and having something like the mouse move off the bottom right hand screen to re-appear moving leftwards from the top and center area is a major turn-off. There is such a thing as TOO complex. 3/5
