Good game, for the most part. My biggest complaint is that the extra content I paid 50 kreds for was not even close to worth it. I have played so many games on here with better graphics and longer gameplay for nothing required but the money you get from the ads. I would much rather have voluntarily tipped you than pay so much to get so little.
The mechanics of the game and story are great for a flash game, but without that disclaimer, you would not have something I would have paid for, and definitely not as much as I did.
An upgrade I'd like: Flood Lights. Sure, the power is down in the city, and apparently you can only hunt zombies at night, but you'd think someone who can get a factory running without his presence could rig up better lighting.
I kept expecting the game to reveal that you were actually the hero who had killed the former mastermind then used his gear to heal yourself, getting amnesia in the process. I would have found that funny, at least.
I find the premium options to be quite reasonable--because you don't have to buy them to get all options, they just make getting the options easier, but they do provide some tangible benefit for supporting the creators.
Anyone want to take bets on when people will start complaining about a multiplayer game getting badges again? 1 in 20 games that get badges are from multiplayers, but from the complainers you would think that it was every other badge.
@slonrg You gave the lowest possible rating to a game you review as good? WTH? You do realize that 1/5 should be reserved for games that sear themselves into your mind like some eldritch abomination that should never have seen the light of day, right?
I don't give out 5/5's lightly, but this was well designed and mentally stimulating enough to richly deserve it. The music is just the icing on the cake; the right level of calming and quiet to encourage thought without ever becoming obnoxious.
To get customers complaining less about the elevators in a tall hotel, break them down into multiple shafts. Adding 1 elevator that goes up 20 floors reduces wait time by 1/2 what adding two elevators that each only serve 10 floors does. Yes, this is much more expensive, but it means that they aren't waiting on an elevator that was 30 floors away when they pushed the button. If you are playing for fun at the end, you won't really need to worry about money anyways, just make certain you have overlap floors where people wanting to go higher/lower can switch elevators.
Reporter: "And for the tenth night in a row, this tiny village has been pelted by increasingly severe meteor showers. Reports tend to come in amidst the devastation of an apparently superhuman child dashing around the village at incredible speeds, catching as many of the stars before they impact as possible. Sadly, 72 people have so far died to meteorites he missed."
Simplegoogly, just shoot the door. If you are stuck on Kolm 1, that is a different matter, but you start with the ability to open all doors in this one.
Almost every single loss I suffered in the course of getting all of the badges came from poison. This power is highly OP, even bypassing invisibility so there is no way to avoid getting poisoned. The few other losses were bad luck just after switching to higher ranks.
@Kuhnie For me, it was rock, rock, scissors, scissors, paper, paper every time, so either it changes for each monster or is one setting for each game played. Either way, it is an RNG weakness to the game.
What really annoyed me was that the game skipped a week every time someone showed up to talk to me, meaning that I kept missing championship/promotion fights.
Loads of fun. I disliked level 5 for the camera restriction aspect. Camera angles kill me in games more than any other single flaw, and losing control over that feature for even one level was frustrating. Note that this is meant only as feedback about the game, not an actual complaint, as I gave the game the 5/5 it certainly deserves.
Not your best work--but that is comparing this to a lot of really fine games you have produced. It is very good, there are just a couple of others I like more. Definitely worth the 5/5 you tend to get(except for a few stinkers, but everybody is allowed an off week occasionally).
This is not a style of game I enjoy, but I'm not going to give it a poor rating because of my personal tastes. I feel a game should be rated on its own merits. Others do not share that view.
Taylor (the composer) is a talented man. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience :)
