@BloodyHawker, saying 2/5 without giving any reasons isn't exactly an upvote worthy comment. Maybe more people would be inclined to agree, or at very least not downvote him, if he'd provided any evidence that the game actually deserves that rating. Which it doesn't.
I think that what bothers me most about this game is the developer response - with thousands of negative feedback comments, the only thing the dev is doing is claiming that opinions don't matter as the game is perfect the way it is. When people offer you a chance to improve your game and you simply call everything a part of the "difficulty", that's just plain ignorant.
I must say, I'm damned impressed. I wasn't expecting anything special when I clicked on this game (especially since it has a multi-player tag when it is clearly single-player), but the amount of effort poured into this game is amazing. The small touches such as an extra 5 coins on death if you are level 7 or higher (heck, even the level-up system and different character models that result) show a whole lot of care. My main qualms with the game are that items can spawn on the enemy spawners, making them inaccessible, and that the enemy spawn rate after getting at least an F rank becomes way too high, but other than those concerns this is actually quite a solid and fun game. 4/5
I'm glad at least someone could see that I really did put a lot of effort into this game! That is probably the 5th time i have heard a complaint about money spawning on enemy spawn points, so I am going to go change that right now. Thanks for playing, yoshifuzz! 5/5 for your comment!
No tutorial, worse controls than any game ever conceived, terrible music, and you're a surgeon with only one hand. How exactly did THIS get to front page?
I don't know how else to say this, so I'll put it bluntly - this game is confusing as hell. I have a number of complaints with it, but the most devastating of all is the lack of any sort of tutorial - I was forced to look to the description simply to find the controls, which should always be explained in-game, and even then had trouble figuring out what to do. Without any idea of what to build or what to expect, how are players supposed to enjoy the game? Even when I did figure out the basics, the game was finicky beyond belief - the soldier control is absolutely terrible, and there don't seem to be animations indicating if anything is attacking - they just sit there humping each other to death or something. If you want people to play your game, you're definitely going to need a tutorial and in-depth explanations.
I know you've got potential as a game dev, (armada assault proved that to me a few years ago) but this one simply isn't much fun. While there is clearly effort put into it, the ball often slows down faster than the player may expect, which can lead to frustration, and there's not much feeling of accomplishment even when a level is cleared. Add on a few glitches, such as the ball getting stuck in some surfaces, and it just all blends into a game that doesn't work. I think the concept for the game could work, but it'd require a lot of polishing up. The two main suggestions I have are to make the ball keep its speed a bit longer, and remove the "ready" thing before each level - players will fire off the first ball when they are ready, and waiting for that screen is irritating. Good luck with future games, though!
One strange yet irritating glitch is that the game window will occasionally go grey and force the player to either wait or refresh the page. I'm not sure what causes it, but it could be a game-breaker for people with slower computers.
Is there any way to skip tutorial steps? At first, the tutorial glitched by not registering that I had purchased the helmet, so I tried clearing my cache in order to fix the problem. Unfortunately, it took me back to the start of the tutorial where you must purchase a gunner - and after already doing this step before, I don't have enough cash to do that.
You claim to have increased the amount of bonus diamonds by 10-20%. What you seem to have "forgotten" to mention is that the 250 kred pack now costs 350 kreds, making the currency overall more expensive. What a joke.
