It is NOT hard to get the "Death Never Sleeps" badge. Invest one point in each of the attack combos and get yourself surrounded on both sides. Teleport away from the enemies, then immediately back to them (don't keep teleporting). Then use a stunattack followed by a slam bomb. Teleport away again (or don't) and use an attackjump. If there are many melee enemies continuously use charge either back and forth or in one direction, otherwise teleport in their direction, then charge in the opposite direction towards them (or attackjump), followed by teleporting in that same direction past them and charging (or attackjumping) back towards them. Rinse and repeat. In some levels this is easier as the enemies are tougher and are more focused on melee, and thus will group together and allow repeated charges. Either way, towards the end of the campaign if you practice this technique enough you should find yourself getting 30+ godlike combos without even breaking a sweat.
I don't understand why this game is getting such hate, it really isn't all that bad. Yes, you get eaten a little farther away than you should, but the reverse applies as well. Read the badge description: "As everyone knows, dogs can lunge their attacks from a small distance; direct contact is unnecessary."
Originally I had given this game a 3/5 because I had absolutely no idea how to do any sort of training, which was misleading considering there were three badges that involved training. Then, I figured out you need to finish the tutorial and then reselect single player to be able to get those badges (protip for three hit training: hold out till a special, block every attack and then unleash your special, attack afterwards, unleash it again, and repeat). Anyways, this game is COMPLETELY badass and THE best fighting game I have ever played. It deserves a 6/5.
The fact that you can rush in, take out a war factory just as you die, and with it take out nearly everything surrounding it and respawn an infinite amount of times makes this game a little too easy. But the maps are very well drawn out, a little strategy is still required. Great work.
Great game, but I have two complaints.
1. If you're just a hair early or late when a chord (by that I mean holding down a note) comes up and you continue to hold it down, the "rock meter" shoots down rapidly. I think this should be fixed so that you only lose "rock meter" equal to one or maybe a few missed notes.
2. "Star power" should slowly deplete when used so you know how much you have left. Also, when using "star power", if you earn more it should add onto the current amount rather than being used for future amounts.
But other than that, great GH remake, the songs sounded amazing, 5/5.
The game is good, but unfortunately a little slow. It takes a while (unless you save money at exactly the right times) to finally get to space, at least in comparison to similar games.
