Already has been mentioned by plenty of people, but it is extremely true: Using the mouse to avoid damage AND collect coins at the same time is tedious and annoying.
This continues to puzzle me: A brand new character with level 1 magic has a 7 second cooldown between fireball casts. Yet my save slot with level 17 magic still has a 6 second cooldown between fireballs. What puzzles me is that the game tells me that each magic level reduces the cast time by .2 seconds. Well 17 times .2 = 3.4 seconds reduced, so I should be seeing 4 or less seconds between those casts. What's up with that???
As others have already mentioned, this game is a tedious grind. Each of the "technology" seem to serve no purpose. It took me about 80-90 days just to reach the core, and now I'm doing what feels like way too many subsequent days worth of drilling to get back to the core, only to get a handful of plasma per run, if I get any at all. My best is 5 in a single run; meanwhile most runs get 0. It spoils what could be a solid game. Why not implement a monetary style system, where X number of greens = a blue, X number of blues = a red, and so forth. That would alleviate a lot of the frustration.
Classic mode = about 9 minutes, total, to solve 95 puzzles. Pro mode = about 9 minutes to adjust the picture to the exact millimeter that the game wants. A good game otherwise spoiled. Pity.
I've enjoyed every game in the Soulgame series and just wanted to take a minute to comment. As so many game designers pump out sequals to their games that offer nothing new, it is extremely refreshing to see each of your games get released and play them, as they always are a new twist on your theme. Each has been fantastic and fun, providing countless hours of enjoyment, motivating me to go back to the old ones in effort to get 100% completion on each. Keep up the fantastic work, kudos to you and best wishes on your future game designing endeavors!
While I admit that this sort of game isn't my cup of tea and that I'm just here for the badges, I must say that I applaud the developer's friendly attitude while receiving the onslaught of negative feedback that games of this style get bombarded with. Kudos to you in that regard.
To those in the comments with issues having the game award the badges: Don't forget about the "Report Missing Achievement" link. All you need to do is take a screenshot showing completion of badge requirements. They can manually award badges ;)
"While fighting, you have found a Red Diamond". The reward for doing so ... a sword, a special unit, or something else that feels like a "reward"? Nope, just a chance to spend money. Laughable. I've reached the last straw. I'm logging out and will never log back in to Kong ever again. Adios. Bye bye. Peace out, I'm gone.
Very boring. Seems to lack a pause/menu button. Nothing new brought to the genre. Even something as simple as a car select or being able to pick a car's color would be a vast improvement.
As others have mentioned, the Epic Cup Holder Badge is bugged. I've won all 4 tournaments several times. Other badges awarded fine, but that one has some sort of issue.
I rarely "rate" games anymore. These days, I pretty much just rate the games I really like. Putting subliminal messages in the game telling me how to rate? I don't think so. Instant 1.
@ Sabertooth:
Improved Upgrades: Longer time duration (it seems) for the larger & sticky paddles + more 'ammo'. Paddle Width: It definitely gets wider (compare yours to the pc's default short one). Paddle curve: Much sharper angle when hitting a ball, particularly off of the end of the paddle.
Odd: EVERY time I buy anything that costs 8 TP's or more, it gets destroyed within 45 seconds of deployment. Also Odd: Sniper prioritize motorcycle passengers before the driver. ??? Odder: Spec Ops get mauled in hand to hand combat, which is the opposite of reality. Oddest: Regardless of how many squad members are alive at the end, it considers them all dead. Annoying, but not odd: I hear countless 3+ tank strategies, yet every time I buy a tank its toast long before I have the TP's for a second tank.
Shadowfire65, that's just silly. 1) You can buy more lives. 2) Your lives get put back to 10 if you do something as simple as buying a new ship. 3) Due to courier missions and mining, $ for lives is easy to get, even for novice players.
Thanks, we try to keep things positive! We're just a small indie company, so everybody who plays our games is important to us.
