I mis-spoke earlier. It should've been: When I'm going to make something, show how many of that thing I already have. (Hmm, I see that I don't have many Milking Teas or Gathering Teas, so I should make 60 of each).
My patch wishlist includes:
Once an item goes into my inventory, keep that item's icon in my inventory so that, when I'm out of that item, I can see the icon with a "0" in the corner to remind me that I'm out.
When in screens other than Inventory, show how many I have of the items being discussed. (Hmm, which fabric should I make? Hang on, I need to go to the Inventory screen to see how many I have of each raw material).
Me in the first 15 minutes: "Cool! It's like Robinson Crusoe! You start with nothing and have to build up the tech tree. Gather sticks and rocks. Make tools. Build structures. Awesome!"
Me after finding the shop owner: "Hey, I'm not alone on this island! There are others to interact with. Must be several others, considering they have coinage."
Me after seeing the pickup truck: "Uh, what?"
I wonder how Disney's lawyers are going to react when they see that "Eleonora" has long, blonde hair, wears a pink and purple dress, keeps a chameleon as a pet, and wields a frying pan. Hmm.
How to tell the user what mode is active: If an icon is not on a button, it's saying "this is the current mode". If it's on a button, it's saying "push to make this happen". When the button is pushed, it should look like it's pushed in.
