I killed the dragon without using divine edge and with level 5 armour ... (had to use an elixir half way through of course).
I'd like to see some value in levelling up. And it seems skill is very limited, even for a one button game; I'd like some participation in the battles.
Why use the arrow keys and then make Up not jump? There's no reason to use Z for that.
I fully agree with the other comments about it being too hard. When you can see how to complete a stage, but you can't do it because your control isn't perfect enough, it's not fun any more, it's annoying. That's the case whenever you have to 'edge jump' or there are spikes top and bottom so you have to judge a jump perfectly, not just to make the target, but to not die and get sent back to the start.
I got to level 10 and gave up after a few tries because I just wasn't having fun any more.
Originally back when game wasn't finished the jump was in up arrow, but people complained about it so I moved it to Z. Future sequel will have customizeable controls.
Game claims I'm American (fail), tutorial times out (fail) and then claims I lost (fail) and then FREEZES (SUPER FAIL).
This is close to a good game but sorry, it just isn't.
For 'zen gaming' this is top drawer, though a bit more instruction would be nice. It felt really dull for the first part when it was occasional greens and that will cause lots of people to drop it, I suspect.
Nice game, but I agree with the comments here, it is disappointingly short and very unbalanced. Level up the ranged characters and you can kill everything before it gets close to you.
I think the double action skill is way overpowered. No other upgrade doubles your damage with one skill point.
The production values on this are incredible. It's more an interactive story than a game – very linear and few choices or skills needed – but 5 nonetheless for being so excellently made.
