Awesome game! Great concept, awesome gameplay, I'll rate it 5/5! Good luck with the competition! Here are a few suggestions: Reduce game height, Add more stuff, like: Large wall (75 gp), Fire spikes (50 gp), Mana points and spells that could be used by you or the enemy during battle, and extra reinforcements. Other than that, love your game!
Yeah, the plan was of course larger than the final product, as is the case always with jams pretty much. I had plans for recruiting spies / elites, more traps, etc. But the schedule is the schedule.
From competitor to competitor, I say your game is awesome! Nice concept, great gameplay. I'll rate 5/5, but it needs some fixes though. Like when clicking "up arrow" or "Down arrow", the game screen itself slides away as if I am moving the scroll bar.

Swords and Souls is by far my favourite game of its theme! However, it kinda annoys me that to get the bonus spell, I need to play a game that requires the Unity3d Plugin, and my pc doesn't download anything. Other than that, I rate 1000/5!
This game is one of the best I've played for a long while, great concept, amazing idle-ness, awesome upgrades, and totally radical gameplay! Looking forward to updates, 11/5!
The game is amazing, the idle game mechanics is awesome, and there is even much to keep you occupied while playing! I rate it 6/5! Looking forward to updates.
The game was amazing, I loved the music, storyline, and the way the game is made itself. The resolution didn't matter for me, because I like pixel games. I would suggest the next game to have a little... improved resolution, a spoken storyline, maybe npcs, and definitely some danger to the bosses, maaaaybe make more, harder puzzles. GG, theLucre!
You are saying exactly what I've been thinking. Now that we aren't under a game jam time/resolution constraint, we are going to pursue all of the things you mentioned. The new resolution will be widescreen and a little higher so we can get more detail into the scenes. In terms of the next build, gameplay is our number one priority, since the aesthetic has proven to be very appealing based on the overwhelming support online. Thank you for playing and stay tuned!
