It was really fun exploring the tech tree. Reminded me of the moo2 days finding out which techs to pick to beat that annoying creative race.
Although it would be nice if there were a bit more balance here. Buildings are not very useful (with the exception of the population boosters), especially relative to the instant benefits of other techs, and missiles are much easier to use than the other weapons. There weren't really any choices comparable to, say, pollution processor vs mercultie missile, or autolab vs cybertronic computer.
Also greying out the unpickable tech options and providing the player with the information of what the potential tech does and what the prerequisites are would be preferable imo.
Here's an oddity: one tech appears in the tech tree twice. Fusion Missile is both a level 2 physics tech and a level 3 energy tech (the energy tech has an additional requirement). Researching both gives no added bonus though, as far as i can tell.
@Aerow Thanks, for the info on the reload button. But diagonal is faster than parallel? If the player ship and missile are both going diagonally the player ship is faster (default speed), but if they are both going along a 'cardinal' direction then the missile is faster. Its parallel in both cases.
I'd like a way to manually reload or, even better, for the guns to automatically reload whenever they are not being fired (instead of only when they are empty)
There should be a way to back out of the "Select which deck to use in this battle" screen. If you go there without a playable deck (e.g. too few cards), you are stuck and must refresh or load a different game (unless i'm missing something).
well i havent played a game since learning that comps pwn humans in legit competitions worldwide over and over for years. i played those games a long time ago. i just check in here occasionally for the interesting discussions about the game and all of the 10 on 1's and so on. Please start reading with a grain of salt you might find yourself on the supreme court one day and breyer has a lot to teach. "Solved" doesnt always mean "figured out". And ftr i never used computers to help me play i just did a ton of 1 minute games and the strength here is a lot higher now from what i here
in reply to 2dognight's Odd comment from a guy who has 1,337 wins and no 3 on the all-time win list, collusion. That's a lot of games played by someone who thinks everyone should move on because computers have "figured it out". For your information computers haven't solved chess yet. Yes, programs regularly beat the best grandmasters now but they haven't yet found a forced win for either white or black. So don't spread your ignorance and hypocrisy around so freely. 1,337 wins is hardly what I call "moving on". Here's another thing to consider: We aren't playing programs. We're playing other humans. Comprende?
i think the hard badge is harder than the medium badge. For the trick badge i had to add a handstand off a bounce to get it (following Heyga4Huk's strategy). I also got close by foregoing a flip, which seemed to result in more bounces (although i guess it could have just been random with the flatness of the land) and doing a handstand on each bounce.
octopus was reallly hard for me. i might have upgraded imprecisiely but was so tough i basically had to put up buffs and poision him to death. towards the end used a combot of electro (which vamp blood is netralized by) and vamp blood itself to wear him down. i grinded a lot premortively but stilll was a bit tto tought i think unless i specced wrong
