@Szafirmag, is there any comprehensive guide or even someone willing to make YT videos on how to do Mystic Wars stuff? Been grinding the old fashioned way (only level 87 now), but if there's a farming method that turns months into days for each level, I definitely need to learn it. :p
Can someone who has been playing a long time answer this - is it optimal to privatize as soon as it's available or to push a bit further to try and squeeze a few extra privatization points? and similarly, with starting a new boot camp, are the bonuses worth starting right away or waiting until you have really hit a wall with the current one?
Are there any guides out there for this game and getting to the lvl 20 boss? Casual player here and I am just curious about the best route to take with limited play time available.
Why does my antivirus tell me it's blocking connection to smores(dot)tv due to SSL certificate is not trusted, every time I load this game lately? --- "The Certification Authority has revoked certificate validity. Your connection may be now spied upon or you may be redirected to a fake site."--- I only get this on your game page, does this have to do with your change of servers or whatever it was you did recently?
This should be nothing new - our main game has offerwalls integrated (to earn extra gold), but that is disabled on Kongregate, however scripts are still being loaded generally as it's a feature otherwise accessible from other 3rd party sites. So this has always been there, but essentially not working - added to the list to try more gracefully disable/not fire at all on kong, but honestly no idea when we'll get to that.
@Wjyg, Priest is the black cloak with red stripe, with skill Raise the Dead, which summons skeletons.

Best way to get gems is indeed to level your Castle's Crystal Mine. Also try to stockpile some coins and each time you see the trader appear, use what gems you have to refresh him until refresh costs 80 or more gems. He sometimes sells 1,000 gems for coins (if you have enough on hand). You can manipulate this by doing events which give a lot of coins compared to the regular raid.

Don't expect a quick grind in any case, this game is pretty slow in my opinion.
What is the deal with this game, honestly. I've been playing for over a year and never have I had such garbage experience with save files. If you can't manage to have cloud saving function seamlessly, you should get the game to recommend local saves for the users or something. Imagine playing and game and each time it's like a coin flip whether your progress loads up or not.... I cleared cookies and got my progress back yesterday, then today it is showing as new game, I refresh and progress is back but buggy, refresh again and it's new game again, refresh again and progress is back. What is different about your game that makes this necessary vs. all the other games out there, just curious?
Mainly it's because it is a multiplayer game and verifies all user actions on backend, which 99% other games don't. So it can't be saved to local. And the auth system it uses is based on cookies, which is so outdated, and has been made redundant/complicated a lot by various browser updates over the years, and we don't have the time/budget to rework the game completely. That's the situation of it. We know it's not perfect and it's annoying for people, but we still keep it supported and online as many people enjoy it.
We'll also still be looking at some remaining issues after the server cluster switch in the following days
@Can967, I've been playing since early 2023 and still working on the 20million medals... especially in early game it's insanity to consider this, but even maxing the 10k medal limit daily, that's 2000 days of doing it, so stupid. So instead, I have to use the raid events that give a lot of gold and just constantly cycle through run the event once, max all my heroes, reset the raid, and run the event again. Absolutely stupid of them to have this badge, clearly zero play-testing is done when they badge these things.
Got the original badges in 2010, new badges came out 2023. I am at only level 86/140, 136k~monsters killed out of 1million, and 8,100/50,000 puzzle boxes.
I've said this before but these three badges should be reworked, 1million kills even with unlimited energy and no delays, with 1 battle every second, is still 277HOURS of battling... not accounting for any delays in battling. I am sorry but $100 games don't often offer almost 300hours to beat their completionist goals; these are ridiculous and 1million kills likely won't get you anywhere near level 140 either.
To be clear I already had easy and medium badges and spent a lot of hours on the game (got to power 1789789), so it's going to be really frustrating if I have to begin from scratch now...
This game is resetting every 9 weeks. Everyone starts over. If player survives the apocalypse before the server restart, he gains Global Points, which are very powerful and can be traded directly into Gems. Also now more Kongregate badge-related progress is also cross-server (like Fields).
Is there no way to recover my progress? I haven't played in a few months and it's showing as if I've started a new game (although it remembered my username with a (1) beside it)
I feel like 20million medals is overkill for a hard badge. If you reach daily 10k cap on medal prizes consistent it will take 2000 days. Seems unreasonable even if people keep pushing medals beyond the daily cap.
I've gotten the two tutorial badges today - the game is not as intuitive/obvious as those where tutorials use massive arrows to show you what to click. I am not a fan of this type of game but at least the badges are fixed, I'll give it a try for awhile for the other two badges. :)
Over a year later I finally beat the Raid #400... Priest did prove to be the biggest improvement I ever did, so definitely worth switching priority to him. Also for the final battles in high 350+, you need a character that can stop the enemy poisoners. I ended up using Charmer (very low, Tier 3 and Level 6 Hypnosis) which caused enough disruption to enemy team for mine to do their thing. The key was to get rid of poisoners before they wipe my team, and have at least one tanky dude to take hits from those sniper archer dudes who hit hard.
At first I felt the game was a bit clunky, but after playing for a few weeks I'm enjoying it. There are some QOL changes I'd like to see such as when moving across several fields, if they are empty they could be claimed without having to step on each one individually, although I understand that would pose some challenges to the # turns etc...
But seeing active dev on a game with badges makes me happy, it's not just another cash-grab game, there's dedication and that improves my rating for sure.
I played for a few days and got ~2850 fields, and in PVP/Maze the counter was going up very well but since then when I get new Maze/PVP fields it no longer increases. What am I missing?
I see something wrong with kongregates statistics submission. It will be fixed anytime soon. Sometimes kongregate is flooded with those statistic messages and seems it stops receiving. But your progress isnt lost
Thanks - and to any newer players, even if you invested a lot into one base hero (like me and archer), it's never too late to change. I just beefed up my priest by harvesting all my artifacts for skill power and my total team power went from like 200trillion to 1quadrillion (5x!), earning me the power badge. :) It's worth the effort to switch your focus!
Any general tips for people who suck at rogue-like games? What class to start with, is it better to clear floors or rush to next floors, any items/enemies to prioritize/ignore etc?
