Spread of players in the last week: 251, 103, 101, 236, 164. Libertarians are actually the most active currently, from the looks of it. Probably explains our lack of taxes.
There seems to have been some kind of major server error unrelated to the game. I'm looking into it now. Unfortunately it's unlikely I'll be able to recover anything significant from that day as I do not have the server backing up every hour or something. But frankly I'm starting to wonder if I should with all the issues I've been having lately.
Yes, I know... And my dungeon... is it too hard? It never got looted once... I am the only one who completed it. Oh, and there might be time issues if you are looking for treasure.
What you might want to know:
All buildings cannot be trapped.
Pitfalls kill you (although they seem to be bugged currently as stated in a previous post), both types of them. The fire and the poison traps ignore armor, the spike and explosion traps do not. If you want to loot the chest, you must kill the boss first. The corpse of the boss is the exit point, if you are low on health, dont get greedy and be killed when attempting to get the public loot!
Now the two currently avaliable characters:
The mage:
Long range and recharging special attack source(mana) but low health, low armor and small attack radius.(When using warriors armor, high armor but less damage)
Weakness: attacks from multiple directions(There might be some spell for that)
The warrior:
wide attack radius, high health, high armor, enemy hit based special attack source, depleting over time(rage); less attack power and limited range(avoid using mage armor)
Weakness: ranged enemies
What happens... when a player gets killed after beating the boss, for example when trying to get the treasure? I initially thought it would appear as a loss in the statistics, but now I suspect that it does count as a win and a defeat. Also, the statistics are bugged: My dungeon currently got 16 plays, 17 defeats and 3 wins...
Now it is a bit too easy. I would advise you to guard at least the treasure chest with extra traps, as you could easily lose your vaults crafting materials if it gets looted. Poison traps are not bad, but stacking them is. Also, avoid placing too much spiders or goblins, as they are mainly a source of health potions than a problem. At least if you leave them empty(not upgraded).
you cannot lose items from your chest. Currently its split half half, half of a dead players items go into your private chest, and half into public. Players cannot access your private chest, and you cannot access the public chest. You cannot lose anything currently in your dungeon, though I am working on a feature where players can learn to steal/pick-lock certain things.
Note: as of today Sept/24th the private chest is bugged and you cannot access items in there, fix should be out today or tomorrow :D
Well...krysome, there are some traps that are really bad. For example, 3 poison traps in a row. You cannot escape that, and they are blocking the way to the boss!
There is a very annoying bug: Sometimes the cage opens but the enemies are not getting damaged for a period of time. But you are! On dungeons like Arachnophobia, that is a loss. Fix that.
the pits are easy. If you do not jump in the exact middle of them, you just get stuck.Even if you are walking towards it, you are only getting stuck because you are not in the exact middle. I am sure this is a bug.
yes, the walkthrough for it is not enough. It is good enough for the game archievement, but greg or ravismojo wanted to be evil and demanded 100 more for the kong archievement.
And when going for 59% in 1-slice mode in 15, expect 50-100 tries... tip: try to remove blue completely, one part must get stuck and the other part has to free it.
For those having problems getting the hard badge: On the first 13 levels, except level 2(80%), 100% is possible, but on lvl 10 you have to be exact.... expect up to 100 tries there when going to 100%. Luckily, 90% is enough.
14:32%;15:59%;16:81%;17:32%;18:65%;19:68%;20:51%...
This is true, and one of the reasons why overdoses aren't printed in the paper.
