That was a good puzzle! Several comments: 1) Game not working at Chrome for some reason, there is a black screen. 2) After finishing level 25, The game should transfer to a kind of congratulations screen, or at least back to the level select screen, going back to level 1 unexpectedly makes no sense.
Developer, can you please make the game remember the settings? After finishing the game with dialogues disabled, they are turned back on. Also, after getting the golden armor, you always start the game with wearing the golden armor, regardless on if you changed it back before.
For anyone interested, this game is now on Speedrun.com .
Also, you can spawn enemies (with 1-5, thanks Someguy3141) and use them in several places for some neat shortcuts.
Hello fellow speedrunners. If you are interested, this game is on Speedrun.com, you are welcome to join and share some crazy ideas to try to make this faster.
Developer, you might want to specify somewhere that while inside a crate, holding and releasing the "up" button makes the character jump from the crate.
I know I'm probably wasting my efforts here, but response to the dev response: Yes, I am a badge hunter, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy games if they are GOOD. This game doesn't give me any incentive to play it. Now, dev says: "This game is made to play it, is a deep and challenging game, not a badge game". Did you even read what I said? With ridiculous amounts of time needed to gather resources, this is not a game, this is a waiting simulator. Having to wait for dozens of hours just to do any action doesn't make it a "strategy" or "deep" game at all. Again, what you have here is a "game" which don't EVEN LET players to play it. Well done. If you reply, I would appreciate if you relate to the issues I brought, instead of attacking me.
In the past response, we are not attacking at all. It has no logic that we attack someone, regardless of the circumstances. That is clear to us. Be a badge hunter, make you burn all without thinking what you do, caring only for the time take you to get the badge, making you in do many mistakes from the begin of the game. Yes, in a specific part of the curve of the game, sometimes you need to wait some hours while something is completed, but you can continue fighting in the meantime. After many tests, we can ensure you the first 15 levels of the players, can enjoy fast enough progress in the game while the player is here for understanding the mechanic of the game, and not to get a badge goal and leave. That is why this is not a badge game.
Resources gathering need a serious boost, fuel in particular. I'm stuck on 20 stars, and I can't move on because every battle need 100-200 fuel, which takes 4-8 hours to gather. I can wait 33 hours to upgrade my oil rig, but no, need to upgrade command center first, another 33 hours of wait. I can't even buy a second oil rig because the warehouse is too small, not to mention the ridiculous amounts needed for it. Why would you even make a game which don't let the players PLAY it? I'm here just for the badges then I'm out, in a year or so, I guess.
This game is more than "get some badges". We can understand the way you play on Kongregate and is up to you how you spend your time. But please, do not weak a game just because take to you "to much" get a Kongregate badge. This game is made to play it, is a deep and challenging game, not a "badge game". You come here to get those badge, not to play the game. The strategies that you are following is to burn and spend everything as fast as you can to get the badges as soon as possible. The game needs much more than that. You need a good plan and know every part of it, so you can be on the right path. You're just a badge hunter, nothing more. Please, again, do not weak a game just because take to you "to much" get a Kongregate badge
If you want to get a fast speedrun and wonder how some players are at sub-90 time, I posted a video on YouTube of the record of my speedrun (currently #1 place). Basically, almost every level has a route which is faster than what you may have tried at first. The are also some glitches/shortcuts across the levels which you can do to save time, at varying levels of difficulty.
There need to be a hot key in the keyboard to start a speedrun while in the main menu, or more preferable, restart the entire speedrun (not just the current level). Having to press "m" and then move the hand to the mouse is really tiresome between each attempt.
Can't do that just yet, sorry. But I have good news - you can listen to the Exit/Corners OST on YouTube: https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fplaylist%3Flist%3DPLEW7LzQXw1bfi5S_-3iXEas0eowq8KQJY
For anyone who is stuck on the deck select screen before the first battle, creating a new deck (identical to starting deck) and renaming it fixed the bug for me.
Hey, very nice speedruns, congratz! I can work on that but I'm on vacation right now, maybe I'll patch it later this week or in the next one
