It would be nice to be able to see what's in the shop without having to sell your current item. Also, selling something doesn't give you back the cash you spent on upgrades. Couldn't remember if there was something beyond the nuclear reactor, so I sold my fully-upgraded one. Ended up buying it back, but I needed to earn money to buy back all the upgrades.
Had extreme difficulty reading text, no matter what my browser's zoom setting, and I saw no option to change visual quality. While I was in fleet view, I accidentally scrolled my mouse wheel and the game view zoomed completely out. Touched my scroll wheel again, and it zoomed completely in. No sensitivity controls to pick a zoom level in between. Absolutely unplayable to me.
